  1. Oh my god! FFN actually processed some old reports! *faints from shock* And they managed to take out the ass that plagiarised me within two days of me notifying them of it!

"Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!" "Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together... mass hysteria!" as Ghostbusters put it. It's the end times!

"Just don't cross the streams. It would be...bad."

  2. You know, I knew it would happen. If it happens with academic work, it's bound to happen with creative work. But damned if I thought it would be a *blog* post.

  3. I killed it. It took all my nerves, and the JW's got scared by the crazy lady with the shovel, but that spider's not blocking my utility room anymore.

Round about eight inches, DG, tip to tip. Big enough I wasn't chancing missing with a shoe.

And, Neko, I can't move when I can't get in the car, because the thing has a web stretching between the wall and my car door. :(

      LOL, Bronx!

      WillowDarkling

That's why I might have torched the house first :D then moved...

      RogueMudblood

But the gasoline is in the utility room...which the spider had blocked off with her web....

  4. You'd think I'd have learned this by now, but apparently not. Lesson number one: Never assume.

  5. I am capable of rational thought. I am also capable of sending a missive to confirm the validity of your supposed correspondence. What a tangled web...

  6. How to make me laugh hysterically: Flame me on a story about plagiarism defending a thief.

You have to admire the persistence of their stupidity. They're not just pretending; they embrace the stupid fully.

      RogueMudblood

      DG - nope, not kidding

Dany, Bronx - ayup! They hug the stupid and hold it tight.

  7. Debating leaving a review on the plagiarised copy of "My Immortal". Methinks this person missed the entire point of that story of mine they read...

    1. WillowDarkling

      WillowDarkling

I say do it... with lots of snark :D

  8. Uh, yes, if you ask me if you have plagiarism on your account I will call you out on it, random FFN user.

::pets:: Breathe. Mostly, you just have to want to write. I make not like everything I write, but I love to write. :D

  10. Our local McDonald's has an interesting new way to get customers - live, nearly-naked woman in the parking lot practicing a pole routine on the tree.

    4. WillowDarkling

      WillowDarkling

I decided to be a jackass, and sent them a mail about it... :D Told them it looked unprofessional and slightly ridiculous.

  12. Well, I've never been trolled before. S'okay. The little plague can cuss me all she wants on FFN. I find it humorous to no end that a plague is flaming stories about plagiarism being a bad thing.

      RogueMudblood

LOL - That one wasn't mine. :) I just got trolled. :P But I want her down for the fact she's harassing so many people now. Meanwhile, I just got blocked by another little thief who asked for evidence of their plagiarism...so I gave it to them. Then they blocked me. LMAO!

    3. WillowDarkling

      WillowDarkling

LOL... yeah, it suck to be called out on your thievery :D even when you ask for it :D

But I know the FFN one wasn't yours, but I still reported her, she needs to be taken down.

  17. Please help report this plagiarist: http://www.fanfiction.net/u/3593317/TwinkleStarr - See the review boards for details. Everything she's posted is stolen.

I'll help out too. I am appalled by how people could commit such literary felonies. We'll get those last two down somehow, and "her" as well.

*does a dance while reading the directions on the meds* Hm. Strange. This box doesn't say don't take with alcohol. Well, okay then!

  19. And I was just rudely reminded why I stopped reading on other sites. Apparently, since I don't write fan-based works, my opinion is worthless.

      BronxWench

Oh, really? Which little group of brats decided this?

    2. RogueMudblood

      RogueMudblood

Ones that just made it so that I won't go to that site to read for a while. Not a big deal; the authors here appreciate feedback. :)

    3. pittwitch

      pittwitch

Yes, our authors do appreciate feedback. And other places just suck in comparison.

  21. I find it depressing that in the last 6 days, only 5 reviews have been left in the Buffy sub-domain.

    2. Daye

      Daye

its the buffy sub-domain. how many updates were there in the

      last 6 days?

    3. RogueMudblood

      RogueMudblood

a valid point. There was one in the last week. That sub-domain does only account for 2% of the traffic to the site for the last 30 days per Alexa. But, I bet I can do a comparison in TV, which gets 5-1/3% and find it's not much better.

    4. RogueMudblood

      RogueMudblood

It just saddens me, is all. I'm not even an author, but the lack of feedback... It's depressing.

Of course, bear in mind, that alexa statistics can be skewed; after all, Google is still convinced I'm under 24 (I'm 32) because of all the sites I travel to daily.

  22. Why in the world does tech support think that not responding to me and telling me they've resolved my issue is going to make me go away when it's something I PAID for? I spent money on it, bub. You're *going* to talk to me and *FIX* it.

The license deleted itself, saying it was invalid, 2 days after I purchased it.

    4. RogueMudblood

Bronx - the one I got on sale at Best Buy - Kaspersky. Their latest reply has been to tell me to do something I already told them twice I've done. (uninstall, reboot, reinstall, reboot) I've actually done that three times. The key still says it's not valid. So they've made a mistake somewhere in their database, near as I can figure, with the key itself.
