That was me, trying to convince myself to do the right thing, mission failed, the cookies got devoured.  TBH, I don’t make them all too often, so not a huge deal (aside from my doctor saying otherwise if I told her).

Fuck that shit, you are a “responsible” adult, you pay your own bills, you buy your own groceries, you can have whatever the fuck you want for breakfast… Hell, have some breakfast-ice cream with your breakfast chocolate chip cookies! Be fancy as fuck, and put some sprinkles on that shit!

Final goodbye is always the bit that sucks.  I know, he couldn’t move without it hurting, and it was only going to get worse; nothing short of torture would delay the inevitable.  No, it was time to let go, let him join his brothers & sister(s) across the rainbow bridge.
Of the original six in the litter, I finalized on the three brothers after two sisters were adopted out and a third sister was killed in the road at a very young age.  I’ve not kept track of those two sisters, so they might still be alive, but also possible they have the kidney disease too.

Spent several hours talking with a friend (real life), guess my characters need to watch out.

Thanks @WillowDarkling He’s more of a hider, so he’s in the closet right now.  (That he lets me reach in and pet means he’s in distress.)   This morning, I dedicated my chapter post to him, and trying to distract myself with a bit of writing before I have to collect him.

I’ve had a few of those but never under anaesthesia. They usually give me a mild sedative that helps me relax, but I’m usually chatting away with the doctor and nurse, and watching the monitor while they do it. But I absolutely agree with you on the preparations. To describe it in a very vivid phrase, it’s like shitting the fires of Hell…   I’ll admit, the last two times I’ve gone in, my gastro told me not to prep, and I felt SO sorry for him. But he’s the expert, so he should know why he didn’t want the prep done…  
But please, keep us updated on the capsule’s journey, that will be a hoot to read, I’m sure

Dear gods, man! You’d best keep us posted as to the results, although I imagine it’s going to make one hell of a photo album. 

So, next story from you will feature one of those capsules and the journey it goes on?

Next thing for me will be to swallow those little capsule things with a camera in them, so they can take happy snaps all the way through my bowel.  I don’t know the procedure for them but I’m guessing I have more extreme diarrhoea in my future.  Yay!  I just hope to hell they don’t want the camera back afterwards.

I was the daft bugger’s responsible adult. The prelude was gruesome, and I was desperately grateful that he was anesthetized for the procedure, because I think it would have been a race between me and his doctor as to who murdered him first otherwise.

I know   It’s a sort of family joke, baby sister’s birthday is on December 22nd. When she was a kid she refused to be excited for Christmas until after her birthday despite all the stores filling up with Christmas stuffs. Needless to say, she used to get a lot of Christmas stuff for her birthday 

Thank all the gods we don’t have to deal with Yule decorations in stores, although it might be nice not to see Christmas decorations until after Yule…
