So, to counteract that, I've come up with this & hope that someone decides to take it up. Premise: AU - The Avatar is allowed to take concubines. Katara, tired of the life she's been forced to live with no one to teach her water-bending, becomes Aang's concubine in order to leave the Southern Water Tribe. This leads to Aang getting a harem. I plan on doing the Booblover’s Avatar fic way down the road and even have half the first chapter sitting somewhere although that’s mostly because I want to do an Aang and Zuko duel harem type thing eventually. Not saying we shouldn’t or should, just observing that it’s practically so common among erotic stories that it’s almost a standard. The website TV Tropes calls it this: Bigger is Better in Bed – The bigger the penis is, the better the sex is. At least, that’s what most people seem to think, although that in and of itself is subjective. The website also offers up some ways on how to play with the trope. Played Straight: – Bob, the hero of the story, has a great sex life because of his huge penis. – Emperor Evulz has a lousy sex life because he has a small penis. But the deconstruction of the trope caught my eye: – Bob is unable to have sex because his penis is horrifying and extremely uncomfortable to his partners. – Bob feels like he's just being objectified and used like a glorified sex toy. – Emperor Evulz gets so obsessed about the size of his penis he completely ignores all the other ways to improve his sex life and makes the life of his harem miserable. – A young virgin, believing in this trope, decides to pursue a partner with an especially long penis, making her first time a really painful memory, perhaps turning her off from sex for a long time. However, they did offer up reconstructions for the trope as well: – Bob has plastic surgery to reduce the size of his penis to a more convenient size, and is able to enjoy sex in a whole new level. – Bob finds a girlfriend who by innate biological features (alien with bizarre features) or sheer dimensions (tall or giant girl) is able to comfortably accommodate his penis. – Emperor Evulz realizes that penis size has nothing to do with how well he can pleasure a woman, and gets to it. All I’m saying is that in the future, it might not hurt if we consider the above scenarios if we want to use the trope even a little seriously or realistically. It’s just something you don’t see often. Since my works are literary hentai, they have all the elements of traditional cartoon porn, which often includes highly exaggerated sexual characteristics and are not meant to be taken any kind of seriously. Except for when they are, which I do sometimes, for some reason. It’s almost an accident. Anyways, the longer my stories go on, the more often the second deconstruction pops up, with the leads feeling like the harem girls are more attracted to their giant dicks than themselves. Since these are erotic tales, that is besides the point. Even in porn we see this to be the case, where the men are basically living dildos and the women are the stars that get the focus. I delve into the themes a little more in my original fantasy fic that is still under construction, where two of the protagonists are at or below average size. They feel pressured to be big and perform spectacularly since they’re heroes and especially since one is also of a darker complexion and thus subject to stereotypes. One of them is a celibate hero so it doesn’t matter but they eventually meet a half breed succubus that helps them through their angst. Conversely, one of the villains is a poltergeist that posses a miko and gives her an enormous schlong and that’s a large part of what makes her/him/it villainous since they delight in ravaging holes and use their cock to subjugate women in their harem. Why Girl’s Love Horses on literotica has a chapter that tackles the ideas very well so I don’t feel compelled to write one now the same way I feel compelled to write a good Naruto highschool fic. And yeah, it is true that the women do tend to be the focus of the camera when a porn is going on and the men are secondary, although I suppose whether that’s a good thing or a bad thing depends on your preference. You are correct, we do tend to write these literary hentai in ways that aren’t meant to be taken seriously. One of my favorite ones to go back to time and again is a series of Naruto fics by EvilFuzzy called “A Lewd New World.” It may bother some people, but I’m not simply because I recognize it for what it is; a non-serious smut-filled parody. In case you don’t know about it, the premise is that the world of Naruto has been cast in an illusion (sort of), and we see a new perverted version of the story take place, where Naruto is the only man, every other character is female (even the ones who were guys in canon), and open sexuality is the norm.
