XD) and greetings if you're new! If you've followed (and silently cussed at) me, you know The Human Rayce hasn't received an update for a while. This was because I was working on another project, but now that it's finished, I'm focusing on new content for THR. Earlier chapters are in for a nice, relaxing edit and spa treatment to bring it up to the level of quality that I expect of myself, and the new chapter will be coming out shortly. All the links in this thread have been updated to the new version, so you can check it out there. I also deleted some of the older posts in this thread so as not to spoil future chapters While THR is receiving a substantial makeover, the major plot points will stay the same. Updates should be pretty quick, since I am refurbishing existing chapters. So let's take it from the top! 1. Gentlemen, This is War In which a certain egotistical rebel joins the army, the Police Chief has a tramp stamp, 'Yankee Doodle' is clearly about Rayce and an epic adventure begins again! KassX Posted February 22, 2018 Author Report Share Posted February 22, 2018 Omg, am scrambling to get everything together for a comeback tomorrow (aiming for a weekly Friday or Saturday update, we’ll see) I think I’ve finally figured out what I want for this story. I am going for shorter, easier to digest chapters this time (in the 3k-5k range) because I realize not everyone has the time to sit down and take in an hour of reading at a time. Really want to make this user-friendly. I’ll also be doing the holiday specials as stand-alone short stories, because I don’t like how they break up the flow of the book (of course, I’ll link to them when they come out) The Human Rayce will become a trilogy, with the old chapter 26 now serving as the end of book 2, which means I’ll be powering through to write another book in the series and give it the finale it deserves. Faded Angel In which Rayce gets shown the ropes while Matteo gets shown the handcuffs, smoking is a fast-track to death and ‘Christmas Ham’ gets an uncomfortable new meaning! Guardian of the Sluts In which Rayce goes from nearly dying to getting a lap dance, a certain hand-to-hand specialist is an attention whore and is Matteo the jealous type? So I’m kind of feeling the shorter format and faster updates, and I’ve been having a good time with the rewrite so far. The new sex scenes are fun to write, lol. I actually wanted to put more of them in because I wasn’t sure if there was enough the first time, without dumping the story of course. Introducing all the main characters much faster this time too. I’ve also been harboring some plans for expanding the universe with other projects and maybe short stories – still ideating for that. Happy weekend!
