Virus threat (NOT)

Norton Safe Web

McAfee SiteAdvisor

The site is subscribed to stopthehacker.com, which is a service which does for websites, what programs such as MalwareBytes does for the end user. It monitors the site 24/7, scans it daily, and is set to make any necessary changes if anything is detected. This has tested the site as clean, and now shows us off Google's blacklist.

You may still see the occasional warning page, while all search indexes are updated by Google. Currently, only Chrome is having any issues at all, and only for parts of the site intermittently.

Because of the issues this caused from the 28th of February through the 3rd of March, we will not be hiding anything that was scheduled for it, nor will I be processing any scheduled deletions (after 30 or more days hidden). After all, with the warning and block pages, any issues any user may have had to correct, I certainly would NOT have expected any one of you to bypass those warnings to do so.

Because I was a space case and forgot to click the publish button, the news post for February wasn't actually displaying until yesterday. Please take the time to read it!

A BIG thank you to everyone who has been so supportive while this threat was sorted out. I and the rest of the staff surely do appreciate it!

Hey, I don't know much about computers, but this was weird. I went to the original erotica archive-subdomain het, and when I pressed back (I was done scrolling for new stuff), it took a longer time than normal to do anything, and then the adress bar was a random website. Something with a bunch of letters. I got scared and closed the window, but it looked like what I used to see when I'd look at free porn sites. I don't know if that was a virus, but I do know that's not normal.

Is it safe to go anywhere on the archives and forums?' And should I ignore when my brand of security software says the archives are dangerous? I want to go back on, but now I'm even more worried.

It is absolutely safe. There is nothing IN the archive files which will harm your system.

Your site is safe!

I just tried to duplicate what happened to you, and cannot. No matter how deep in to the categories I go, I click back, I end up at the page I was at prior, in the archive.
