You were warned, don't read it if you don't like it, and don't complain if you DO read it. I noticed the number of generally poorly written Sessh/Kagome fanfictions are creeping dangerously close to the number in the Inuyasha/Kagome section. Sure, number doesn't make up for how well written most of the Inuyasha/Kagome is, but it's depressing to see that such a horrible (In my opinion, don't complain) pairing has such a large fan base putting out such bad stories. We need to start putting out some stories and take back the fandom... Oh, I remember the day (Years ago, when I was underage mind you.) where Inuyasha/Kagome flourished, and Sesshoumaru/Kagome was few and far between. Those days are no more my friends, and the Sesshoumaru fangirls are taking over. (Hell, my girlfriend prefers Sessh over Inuyasha, but at least she doesn't write about him. >.>) Anyways, I'm going to start trying to finish the story I was working on, since I'm a lazy bastard. If the Sess/Kags stories weren't so poorly written, would you be more inclined to like them? I was just wondering. I, personally, only really like Sess in a yaoi pairing. I don't see Sess with Kagome, he seems to be more with the girl Rin... not saying I'm fine with kiddie porn or underage sex... >.<; I'm just saying that his heart is for Rin alone. I actually agree with you, kind of. Inu and Kags both kind of annoy me in the manga and anime. But I love them in fanfics -usually AU/AR ones. I like seeing how far their personalities can be manipulated while still keeping them in character. I think people are attracted to Sess because he's that strong silent type. XP I like Sesshoumaru because of... uhm... hmmm..... actually... let me get back to you on that >.<; But really, I just like the bad guys for some reason... such as Vergil in Devil May Cry or Gaara from Naruto (though Gaara is now good soo... w/e) ANYWAYS.... >_<; I'm not a 'Inu-Yasha' fan so maybe I shouldn't have a say in this but, thats just how I feel about it. I used to be a fan way back... until the damn lady Rumiko kept going on and on and on with the story and not sticking to it! It's like another Dragon Ball Z, except... for GIRLS! They always get the neat outfits and the badass weapons... I think having been a fan means you can have an opinion. I stopped watching the Inuyasha Saga after episode forty or so, just because I got bored. I prefer Inu paired with Kags. I may read them to an extent.... Yes, if they were well written I might read them to an extent. But I still wouldn't read a lemon/lime with them as the pairing... I read a well written Inuyasha/Kagome/Sesshomaru once.... I actually felt dirty while reading it, it was that wrong.... And this will sound bad, but I think that 99.9% of the readers for the Kag/Sess section, are women who are fangirling over Sesshomaru. cu-kid9 Posted February 14, 2008 Report Share Posted February 14, 2008 I'd help you take the fandom back, since I will only write Inu/Kag fics, but I only come up with stories for them once every other year I agree with you about the readers probably being fangirls for Sess. Like I said, I see the attraction, but I'm not so much a fan. I don't feel quite as...passionate? about it as you seem to I'll take a peak every once in awhile, but I'm not really curious about Sess/Kag pairings usually. But, that's mostly because his character is already set, for the most part, and he's too...polished. For me, writing him just isn't as fun, so reading about him (especially with strange pairings...and, yeah, I consider him with Kags a strange pairing), just doesn't interest me. Inuyasha has way more potential for exploration as far as his character is concerned, just because, in the anime and manga, he's younger. Writing him older, to me anyway, is fun because I can pull on the things from the anime/manga to build on. I don't mind a little OC. In fact, I think it's necessary if the author has made the characters older. But extreme changes in character annoy me.
