I'm ChibiShiva, Chibi for short XD. I've been posting on AFF for years but I had a horrible case of writer's block (nearly 2 years) and found myself playing MMORPGs. Finally, the writer's block's gone so I'm back at writing; I missed it a lot. I used to hang out on the forums but my account wasn't working anymore and in all honesty I can't be bothered checking if I posted here before or not, so here I am.

I'm 23 years old and I'm a student in Eastern-Asian Studies at University of Montreal (and no I won't be attending Otakuthon due to me being out of Montreal until late August ). My fav passtimes are video games, writing, drawing and making a fool of myself amongst my friends, also drooling at bishies when I can. I try not to fangirl too much though XD;;. My favorite bands include Rammstein, Iced Earth, Opeth, Slipknot, System of a Down and Deftones.

I used to write a lot of fanfiction, but over the years I've developped my own characters, worlds and whatnot. Because of this, I've dropped my old fandoms (Tekken, Onimusha, FF up to 7) in order to write original stuff.

I'm a fan of action-based, fast-paced medieval fantasy (I love sword fights!), probably due to my love for video gaming (oldschool FF fan here), so that settles it for my original fantasy stuff ^^. As for real-life-like, I base myself a lot out of my own environment: thematics, issues, general location, characters. I write male/male almost exclusively, although I do like to have an heterosexual couple every now and then, but my focus is really on male/male.

I think the biggest crutch of writer's block is that we worry about it getting worse and make it worse by worrying! The cycle can sometimes feel endless, but the only way to break through it is to overcome the inhibitions that have alienated us from our work. I currently feel as though my block is still quite serious as I can't even write a diary; it's not that I don't have anything to write, I just can't face my own thoughts staring back at me. It's almost as if writing down what I feel is too close for comfort. I suppose, in a sense, it's a bit like denial; it's the refusal of honesty, and it acts as the imagination's deadliest pollutant. I thoroughly appreciate all advice, thoughts and opinions on writer's block as it's quite fascinating in its own way.

I agree with you wholeheartedly, especially about the worrying. As someone who is prone to worrying anyway, toss in even a mild case of writer's block and I'm a mess! lol It truly can be a difficult cycle to break. For me, it sometimes helps to talk it out with a friend. Not only do I gain a different perspective but quite often, new ideas come tumbling forth. More often than not, it can start the ball rolling slowly forward.

*waves* Hi, I'm angeicmar. I'm almost 25 (less than a week!), and I'm a writer. Well, let me specific that up for you. I'm an aspiring screenwriter, who passes her time writing adult fanfics and SRPs instead of finishing screenplays to send to an agent (I have a suspicion that sending writing to an agent is on the same level as interviewing for jobs - the potential for soul-crushing disappointment and all).

I'm in a long-distance relationship, and happy with my boyfriend, if not with the distance. I like writing, reading (fantasy, mainly, but I also have a strange passion for mystery novels), Bleach, Shin Chan, Project Runway, crocheting, sewing, WoW, and other video games.

I don't hate yaoi/slash, but it's nothing that I see myself writing (what can I say, I'm a selfish girl, and it spills into my writing: If there are two penises in a room with me, I expect to have something to do with them). Hello, hello all. I'm Amy, a 25-year-old fanfic writer-turned-nonfiction writer. I've been posting and reading on AFF for many years now (I have several fics and one poem on here). I haven't updated my PoTC fic in ages, though reading the feedback that I got on it always brings a smile to my face, and if I didn't have a zillion RL things going on right now, I'd seriously consider finishing it.

I'm a grad student, currently heading into my second year of the Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis program at Caldwell College in Caldwell, NJ. I also have Asperger's syndrome, which is a form of autism, and I am currently writing a book about my experiences in the world of dating, sex, and love as a woman with AS. It's called The Naughty Autie: Not Your (Neuro)typical Dating Guide, and at the present moment, I have two literary agents reading over my book proposal. Beyond that, well, I do lots of public speaking, at autism conferences and other events. I've been speaking since the age of 14 and I hope to make my living with my writing and going to schools to speak to students in assemblies and staff/faculty members in professional development workshops to help them better understand their students with AS. I also want to work individually with students with AS as an autism consultant, to help these kids have a say in the decisions affecting their day-to-day lives.

As for what I enjoy here on AFF...well, I have always been an avid LOTR/Harry Potter fic reader, specifically the slash fics. I have a deep and long-standing love for male/male fanfics, and even though my reading of them has dwindled in recent years, I still enjoy it from time to time. Currently I'm jonesing for a great Batman/Joker or Bruce Wayne/Harvey Dent or Batman/Joker/Harvey Dent fic (I saw TDK the other night and it got my slash plotbunnies all a-twitter). I also recently saw the trailer for X-Men Origins: Wolverine, which stars Hugh Jackman, Liev Schreiber (as Sabretooth), Ryan Reynolds (as Deadpool), and Taylor Kitsch (as Gambit). Needless to say, the slash possibilities are ENDLESS, which makes me as happy and giddy as a schoolgirl. I'm especially feeling a strong chemistry vibe between Wolverine/Sabretooth, so I'd love to see some fics involving those two. (My love for Hugh Jackman has also increased threefold after reading this quote of his about co-star Taylor Kitsch:

Hi all...

I'm Slowhand (obviously) and I'm female, a lot of people think I'm male because of the name. I just like Eric Clapton and his music a lot! So that's why I use the handle...

Anyway, I'm a moderator on a different forum that's mostly anime-based, and I've been coming here quite frequently for almost 2 years (as a reader). I've decided that I'd like to leave some reviews and/or feedback.

I'm not much of a writer, so I hope that I haven't broken any rules by signing up. About 10 years ago, I did write a fic about MacGyver, but that was waaaay before I knew about Fan Fiction and before I ever knew places such as this existed. The only people who have read it are my sister, my hubby and my best friend. Of course, they all said it was wonderful. Not biased at all...

I seem to be quite a bit older than most of the rest of the people on this forum, so I'll just say that I am legal in all 50 states.

I'm a homemaker, retired from my job, so I basically just stay at home on the computer all day. When I'm not moderating or reading fan fics, I'm working on my family's genealogy.

I have 2 inside cats, and I take care of a colony of 8 outside cats. Since I don't have any children, these are my babies!

I'm glad I finally took this final step and joined and, like I said before, I don't think that I'll be doing any writing and I hope that it's not breaking any rules. I'm sure someone will let me know if it is.

The things I like to read are mostly yaoi... and I read in a number of places... FullMetal Alchemist, Gravitation, Loveless, Inuyasha, Bleach, Fake, Cain/Godchild, Cowboy Bebop, and a few others.

I would also read Gorgeous Carat but sadly there aren't any here... there are a few on Fan Fiction.net however... those guys are really hot! (and I'm old enough to know it!!)

So... there you have it. My life in a nutshell.

Now to angeicmar...good luck with your screenplays! I understand your trepidation regarding sending your babies to an agent. It's a scary thing! But it's worth it when you receive the acclaim you deserve for your hard work and inspiration! I have to say...Yeah! Bleach! I'm a big anime fan and Bleach is my favorite. B) Also, I gotta agree with your assessment of a room filled with two penises. That's action I'd have to become involved in!

...Ahem. Hi everyone. ^^ I'm Flames; I'm 19 and female and sorta-kinda a writer (also, sorta-kinda an artist.... xD) and I've been hanging around these parts since my eighteenth birthday. I don't write much fanfiction anymore, although I do still dabble with various ideas from a handful of books/comics/anime/movies- but mostly I write and read originals. M/m mostly, although I have no qualms about heterosexual or three-ways or what-have-you.... I have issues with finishing things, though, so most of what I do isn't posted. ^^() I'm starting college in five days (starting at 19 because I took a year off for world exploration purposes. There are times where life is unbelievably awesome.) Between that, the boyfriend, and the freelance art that's currently my only form of income, I dunno if I'll be around much at all, but why not introduce myself anyway?

Um. I'm considering sending in a short story or two to magazines for ruthless, shark-like reviewers to look over with slight, unconcealed sneers, because I'd like to start a rejection form-letter collection. But I have no idea if I'll ever pursue writing as a career career... xD There're too many things I think I'd like to do, so I have no idea what I'll wind up settling for in the long run. I know, though, that I'll have stories running through my head forever regardless. xD

Greetings, all! I'd been experiencing a recent fanfic-writing jag, and went looking for places to share the product of this obsession, and stumbled upon you all here. Looks like fun ... !

So, about me: I suspect I'm probably at the upperish end of the age-range participating on this board ... par for the course, though--I've never figured out what this whole "acting your age" business is about. I'm basically a left-over hippy type, who's been writing all sorts of stuff for literally decades. Even gotten a few (all-original) pieces published here and there, in admittedly obscure little journals and anthologies and such. And that's not counting the writing and editing I've done for pay--though that's mainly way boring technical/documentation writing/editing. Hey, it's a living ...

I'm a big anime fan, but I tend to only have the hots for a very few series at a time. Right now I'm majorly getting off on Lupin III -- my fanfic WIP is all on him and his gang. Other series I've been known to obsess about include Cowboy Bebop, Ghost in the Shell, and Trigun. I also am a long-time comics fan -- grew up reading Silver Age Marvel! I'm not currently following any series right now, but I was heavy-duty into Sandman while that series was active.

What else? I'm also into lots of classic rock, especially Steely Dan and Frank Zappa; and science fiction, especially Samuel Delany and William Gibson (also really dug Snow Crash but have yet to read anything else by Neal Stephenson). My movie tastes tend to be idiosyncratic too -- favorites range from Lawrence of Arabia to Buckaroo Banzai. I'm also a bit of a scholar of world religions, folklore, and mythology. Some or all of that tends to show up in my fiction (whether fanfic or original).

Oh yeah--I'm originally from New York, spent significant hunks of life in Boston and in Seattle, and am now in San Diego trying to make sense of this SoCal lifestyle.

My name is Flesh Seraph. I'm a Canadian smut writer. My stories are written to be stroke material. I have nothing but respect for authors who hold themselves to the high standard of mainstream fiction. I do not hold myself to that standard, and in fact only wish to provoke my reader into jerking off. I understand the subtle nuances of canon, character development, pacing, exposition and vocabulary. I try to use all of these literary devices, and more- but not at the expense of describing lowest-common-denominator filth. These stories are a never-ending cavalcade of humiliated and degraded females (and sissyboys), massively-endowed studs (and hermaphrodites), copious, dignity-eliminating cumshots, and other exploitive sexual schlock...and if a few sentences of transition or foreplay get caught in the crossfire, I just say a quick prayer and move on.

I'll be the first to admit I don't fit in very well around here. I am concerned with the fetish first and the fandom second. That said, I try to do justice to both. I came from a very different background, I think, than most of the writers who contribute here. I assume that many of you began writing vanilla fics and slowly graduated to smuttier efforts as you came of age. Me, I was reading degrading UseNet raincoat porn when I was 12. It's the desire to apply it to established universes that grew on me.

There is something about the superficial, idealized, untouchable nature of most fictional female characters that makes many fandoms a perfect playground for a degenerate like me. It's my goal to bring to the mind of interested readers the spectacle of their most deified idols being used like less-than-human garbage pails. While I often do non-consentual stuff as a result, I prefer to write in a style of disgraceful consent, wherein once-untouchable females are rendered worthless enough to beg for indignities to which no right-thinking woman would ever lend her participation.

I have a fondness for elaborate dirty-talk, and so my stories are filled with long, depraved diatribes and borderline-absurd ejaculations (in more ways than one- but I use the word in the verbal sense). If you hate the stories, you can at least laugh at the unintentional comedy.

I hope to stay here a while, if you'll have me.

I guess you can say that I'm new to the forum, but not AFF itself. I've been on the site since 2004 I believe. I have several fics up (most wanting to be updated lol).

Well, about me. Let's see. I'm 23, female with an obsession with Kingdom Hearts atm. I found this site through fanfiction.net. I like writing smexy stories so I couldn't resist posting them up on this site.

Now, in terms of my stories, I can't update a lot of them. That has many reasons like Writer's block or I lost what I was working on. The new ones, I'll have updated eventually as I have them pretty much written on paper but just need to be typed up. the only reason that is taking so long is I don't have much time in my busy life to do what I want to do. I am currently working 6 days a week and by the time I get home, I'm only home for about 3 hours before I go to bed. I barely get enough time to read fics, let alone type them. I do try when I can though. It would be much easier if I had the internet at home too. I don't and probably won't for a while. I'm living with my mom and step-dad right now and they don't want the internet in our place. So I have to put up with having to go to the library after work when I can. I hate having this limitation but I have to take what I can get.

Hello all! I'm 20, and I've been lurking about AFF for a few years now but never had a reason to say or do much but read until recently. I'm by no means a writer but I was inspired by a song and a bizzare dream of mine (I have those a lot...) and I was simply content to daydream it away. Unfortunately, this idea was not so content to live its life that way and is now forcing me to write.
