Missing Story?

Hi!

I read about a legal case where someone was sent to jail for writing fiction with underage sex in it, so I got reeeeeally paranoid and deleted it. I'm kinda regretting it, now... I might re-upload it with less explicit descriptions.

Anyway, I'm glad you were enjoying it. Sorry 'bout the vanishing act.

It was R. v. Sharpe

It looks like I misread it, though. If I understand correctly, it didn't result in a conviction, but there's still the possibility that people can be taken to court for this sort of thing... From what I've read, the only reason he didn't get in trouble was that he wasn't distributing it; something that wouldn't be true were the material to be posted here. So for the first time in my life I'm envious of the USA.

Ahhh, okay - Almost gave me a heart attack!

Writing has always been an exception to most pornography laws because it's not 'real' people involved at least as far as I've read. It's a written description and not actual children doing actual acts. Though to ensure lines aren't crossed and to prevent possible legal issues, that's why we do not allow fiction involving real minors only fictional characters. In fact, despite many peoples dislike of fiction involving minors - I would much rather writing be that outlet than an actual child, so we continue to allow it.

It doesn't appear it was the writing that initially got him in trouble, but the fact that he had pictures. Doing some digging, it looks like they were dismissed on an artistic merit aspect - basically because it was fictional in nature. While you are always free to post or not post, from what I've read up on we don't really have any legal issues from that aspect.

megahone, I really hope you repost it. Or, if you want, I can post it through my account, since I assume you meant you are out of the US. Either way, you were doing a great job and kept it so interesting! I was really looking forward to continue reading the story.

Alright... you win... I've reposted it.

Some of it might be different, since I lost a piece of it when I deleted it, and I added a new (though very short) bit at the end.

It's all in one massive chapter, now...

I'd just like to point out that our Terms of Service clearly states that authors may NOT post works on behalf of other people. While I can appreciate your enthusiasm for a favorite author, we do ask that ToS be observed.

Thanks! :)
