DemonGoddess Posted November 22, 2007 Report Share Posted November 22, 2007 (edited) Creating an account with an invalid and/or dummy email address will cause that membership to be immediately DELETED. It is common for spammers to sign into a discussion board using a "disposable" email address which subsequently disappears within a 24 to 48 hour time period. This allows a really dedicated spammer to actually validate IN PERSON, and then spam later. There are clear instructions you need to follow when signing up to join the forum; all you have to do is read all the information provided and follow the instructions. Failure to follow those instructions will ensure you do not get approved to join the forum. Edited January 2, 2011 by Melrick Updating the info.
