I used the Sephiroth and Lara Croft pairing and this is it here on fanfic.net. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/4188365/1/Tomb_of_Life Feedback has been very limited, I guess there isn't much love for this cross over, and I still haven't been able to find any other fics with this pairing since. And then there's the pairings I just can't for the life of me concieve of, and it's EVERYWHERE! I mean, Gaara/Lee, will someone please explain to me where that came from and why anyone wants to read it? Some pairings I love and never get to really see are Shinomiya/Iwai from Gakuen Heaven, though, I admit that whole fandom is sorely neglected, and I can't imagine why. It screams of not-so-behind-the-scenes boy love. Also, Yami No Matsuei is sorely neglected, as well as K/Hiro from Gravitation. I'd also love to see more Neji/Shika from Naruto. It's not so rare, but still rarer than it should be, and so much of what I find is poorly written. I also really want some Shunsui/Ukitake from Bleach. Such a cute pair that very few writers write. Even though there are quite a few, I wish there were more. As for crossovers, I can't ever get into them, all I can think is "WTF is Lara Croft doing in Konoha??? " Maybe that's just me... I also love Oliver Wood/anyone for Harry Potter. But he is used so rarely. I just don't get it. I also love Sirius/Remus in the Marauder Era, but there are so few really good ones with plot and not just porn. Believe me, I like nothing better than a nice smutty Slash fic , but occasionally I like a little plot. I love the Twilight Series by Stephenie Meyer but I can never find Edward/Jacob, Edward/Carlisle, Edward/Jasper, Jacob/Sam or ANY Slash fics. well not many... So for now, I will cry... Crossovers are rare because there's so much explaining to do. Not necessarily. I tend to write crossovers as if everyone is already familiar with all of the characters. I mean, that's the strength of fanfic, to write with characters that someone else has established anyway. Some of my reviews even include people admitting they don't know the characters from one or another show, or didn't until they read my crossover, which sparked an interest. And then when you searching you just cannot find it?Yeah that has been my situation for a couple of days now, I was watching The Chronicles of Riddick the other night and I sat there and went. "wouldn't it be interesting to see Riddick and Dante from Devil May Cry put in the same room? or better yet paired?" Of course I couldn't find any...and in which caused me to get into this situation, because I want to read this pairing notwrite it. It's even worse when you do find it, and it's just not what you wanted at all. Just for the hell of it, I'll try to write something with those guys. I don't know if I can manage a full on pairing without going OOC (something I try to avoid). It's been ages since I've watched Chronicles of Riddick, and apart from having a "devil may care" - sorry for the pun - attitude, I don't know much about Dante. I'd love to see Kuja\Black Waltz Three. THeres no way it would be consintal, not with the way Kuja treats his Waltzes. The only thing simaler to it I've seen is a dam good one with Kuja and Black Waltz one. Hell I'd love to see Vivi \Black Waltz Three. Almost would feel sorry for poor Vivi getting caught by him. You got to make sure you explaine the hows and whys in a believable way or no one will read it You got to make sure you make the characters compatible in some way or theres no reason to read it You got to make sure you have the right ballance from both charactrers without totaly changing them You got to make sure you know the characters and the setting you are placeing them into inside and out You got to make sure you let the reader have some freedom to imagine parts of the story but also cant leave big gaps and holes I for one have never done crossover fics. And honestly there are very few I can find that I can read all the way through. I would like to try my hand at on thats a Bleach / Kingdom Heart's crossover. Aside from the underage thing. I thought about trying to post it some time after Hermione graduates and starts on the post-graduate studies but i haven't read the last book yet and dislike playing in fandom i'm not strong in. So, i decided to move out of the specific universe of Harry Potter, though obviously inspired by it, so anything i get wrong i can just wink and say it was something i did on purpose to distance myself from HPU. Though I would have preferred to see Hermione/Hermione as I don't have the same qualms about underage characters in fanfiction you do, your story did have an interesting premise. Still going to have the same turn ons, turn offs, sensitive areas, favorite fantasies, illicit memories, guilts, passions, scars...and the same 'time turner fantasy'...
