So How About A Review Exchange Thread?

I'll hit a few of you (not literally) and review, but I'm not sure if that 'makes' anyone review me back...seeing how my type of fiction is rather dark and horror based.

I write for basically Resident Evil and Silent Hill (both game verse, not movie). I have a tendency to plop OC's into the story, but have had the pleasant reaction of people actually LIKING them, and even in some cases, wishing they were in the games. I write with heavy plot and sex. Sex will include non-con, het, slash, and darker themes. I try and not make canon characters automatically gay. Nor will I (on purpose), make anyone overly girly. My males stay male, and likewise my females are female.

Wow...digressed.

Anyway, I'm leaving my profile link to the games section, that way you may choose at your leisure. I would recommend Blood Ties, simply because it's not being revised and is a pretty good length to get a feel for the story. Rare side effects is okay, but not as good as Ashes. Yet, Dark Ashes is being revised. LOL...sorry.

My review: I like how you have the story so far. I would like it if you put more detail into the plot on the hunt for Kira and as well L's thoughts on the whole matter of being with Light who he still suspects to be Kira. He does that a lot throughout part of the series and you don't really show him thinking that very much or state it much. I know you do once or twice, but not enough as would L have done it. Don't get me wrong, I still like the story so don't think I am flaming you for this, lol XD; There is also a lot of smut in it... >.> which seems kind of weird for the two, but that doesn't mean I don't like it cause I do! X3 I guess I am one of those people who aren't in it for the sex when it come to reading a fan fic... yes, I know... I am weird... -__- But I do enjoy reading one that do have it in there. I dunno. But....I'd like some reviews for it....even if it just says "Great fic, keep up the good work." I just like to know that my work is worth reviewing.

It's hard to give a review for a story that will probably remain unfinished, but here it goes. I think the story has a good idea in it. I do see several typos, but I do that too sometimes myself, even now. There were a few real long run-on sentences too, but no big deal. Don't be afraid to run with the details of the dirtier, more gruesome scenes. Anyway, hopefully you will have time to one day finish the story and give it a comb over. You really should try and continue it. I myself have taken a few stories off aff that have remained unfinished for a long while until I get the urge to write in them again. Good luck on finishing your story.

I have several fics spreading across more than half a dozen fandoms. My Harry Potter one is on hold since it is REALLY AU since the publishing of Book 7.

I am not into vampires and similar topics, so the vast majority of the threads I have seen for review exchange totally do not work for me as a reader. SkyaraSnow, I posted your review. I was an actual editor for a few years in the real world, so I hope my thoughts do not come off as being hurtful. I tend to say things directly, since I used to get paid to be blunt to the writers I worked with; back in the day. Good luck in your writing endeavor. I know you can make a great reading tale with a bit of polishing for the main bulk readers of the fandom. You have an interesting idea and I hope you do very well with the suggestions I gave you in the review so you can increase reviews you receive. Over all, I do see a lot of potential in your story, if you can accept good intentions of the review I gave you for your story.

I write Initial D Yaoi stories. I clearly mark all chapters with sexual content so those who do not like Yaoi as a whole can skip those troublesome moments. My work is geared toward psychological issues with this story. I am putting up the prequel for review since it is hinted at, but not actual sex outside of a few wet dreams. Nothing too graphic is involved since this is not a thread for the mega graphic pornographic gay romance stuff I am prone to write. I know there are mistakes I have still missed. I deeply appreciate having those brought to my attention. I have a touch of dyslexia, so if you see a mixed up, yet correct word, like form instead of From, please let me know. I do not always see that specific typo no matter how often I revise. Thanks so very much for any concrit reviews in advance.
