Move Fic To Different Sub-category

How do I move stories to and from the new sub-categories? One of my fics should be in "Het" but it's in general. Also, are there any particular guidelines for that? I mean what makes it Het or Yaio, do all the pairings have to be het, or is it enough to have the main pairing be het?

What makes it het or yaoi or yuri? Personally, if the main pairing is one of those, I'd put it in that category. However, I'm known for writing stories where there are multiple main pairings and one is het and one is yaoi. That's why the inuyasha section magically has a het/gay (both in same fic) section. XD If you think you need one of those for your story, let me know exactly what section and I'll be glad to add it. However, with most of the "general" categories in FF being so small now, you could probably just leave it there and it'd be fine. happy.gif

In order to move your story to another sub-category (within the same main

category i.e. section of the site), you need to do the following.

Log into the author panel.

Go to edit story.

Select the proper story from the drop down menu with your mouse, not the up/down

arrow keys on your keyboard.

Select "edit details" from the 2nd drop down menu with your mouse, not the

up/down arrow keys on your keyboard.

Click edit.

Under the "Area" part, select the 1st drop down menu.

Select some option other than the one that is currently selected with your

mouse, not the up/down arrow keys on your keyboard.

Now click on the appropriate category with your mouse, not the up/down arrow

keys on your keyboard.

Now choose the proper sub-category from the 2nd drop down menu with your mouse,

not the up/down arrow keys on your keyboard.

Click the "edit story" button.

*Note* If you do not select using your mouse, the 2nd drop down menu will never

display correctly and you will not be able to move your story.
