I have three chapters done, but have become stuck on the fourth one. So I need some inspiration. My question is, where did everyone else get their inspiration for writing their stories. The children don't strike my fancy, so I find myself unable to really write about them (unless you count my Hermione Voyeur fics). Seriously, though, I am attracted to the potential for darkness in the characters: Snape, Lupin, Tonks...They are great characters. Snape - The darkness comes from the Death Eater in him. Duh. There's the idea of duality and surprise. You never quite know with him, do you? Not to mention that sexy greasiness. Yum. Lupin - Werewolf. Sure, he's kind and gentle and weak as a man, but he's also an animal in there. I would love the guy to be happy, but the truth is he never really will be. Especially with Fenrir in his life now. Groooowwwwwlll. Tonks - While she's a fun and free spirit, her gift brings to mind a lot of dark thoughts. She could be really, really naughty if she wanted. It can come from a revelation I have about myself, a song I hear on the radio, or just my mood. I tend to write humor when I'm feeling kind of silly or angst when I hear a sad song on the radio. englishwitch Posted July 17, 2006 Report Share Posted July 17, 2006 I start like any other fic writer. what am i going to write about? then i think, is there a scene in that book, movie, cartoon, or TV show that would leave an opportunity for sex? for example, a star trek episode when two people get trapped in the lift. or Harry Potter, there are boys and girls on the quidditch team but i've heard no mention of seperate showers. if no obvious situation seems to present itself then i just think what would quickest way to get to a sex scene? usually something pops into my head because there are so many ways to start a sex scene. for stores with plot and not just porn, it is more difficult. you need to have an idea where you going or its gong to start sucking very fast. reference material is good. say you want your chracter to meet an alien, then you just watch a sci/fi movie for ideas.
