  1. Well, posted a story with a Roman Shower. I guess that’s one off the sick bucket list.

You already wrote a pity sequel! Although, admittedly, the pity wasn’t for me.

And sound choice to give it a miss. I don’t mind if I don’t get reviews on that one, it is probably for the best. The few people that piece of shit might appeal to probably want a minimal digital footprint.

      Sometimes @JayDee I’m like 80% sure you’re a supervillain.

I’m more like a ventriloquist’s dummy or maybe a puppet on strings. Sometimes the muse that picks me up to write is a funny, decent hearted, happy story lovin’ goofball. The other times it’s a cold blooded Lamia that hates life and beauty and just about everything in the world, ‘bout the only thing they like is a challenge. Oh, and for some reason, insisting on sharing the stories to AFF when the sensible thing would be to encase the USB stick containing the latest crime against literature & good taste in concrete, sail it out to The Mariana Trench, and throw it overboard.

  2. My profile says I joined the forum as JayDee on January 31, 2008. (I mean, yeah, there’s posts from my old pen name before then. We ignore those.)

It takes effort to get worse at writing over 11 years, believe me.

All I know is my family tree on my mother’s side starts in a river and on my father’s side starts out in the flatlands where outsiders rarely travel.

      ...is WAY older than JayDee…

I’m pretty sure I have shoes that are older than most gods.

  3. Folks, if you’ve not started on reading InBrightestDay’s The Woman in the Statue you are really missing out. The thing’s a work of art.

  4. I’ve finally finished reading the original 7 Harry Potter books. Needed more Dobby.

::dies of the giggles::  Nah, most of us cringe a little at that theme. Now something with a blood-speckled dark alley? Oh, yes…

  6. I’ve just finished reading Chapter 4 of the sequel that’s being written to my story Whore of Heaven and I’m blown away by how good it is. It’s coming to AFF when it’s finished and I think anyone who gives it a chance will love it. Plot! Characters! Awesome descriptive passages! Tasteful nudity! Do I actually need to email the tos email to say “Yes, I am happy with this sequel and any quotes/ paraphrasing needed for references to my story” or is gushing on the forum enough?

    1. BronxWench

      BronxWench

I’ll take gushing on the forum as sufficient permission. :D

  7. Happy Thanksgiving America! I hope y’all get to do some family stuff today. Not… not like that. The wholesome version. And if you’re anti-Thanksgiving because it’s problematic for whatever reason, I hope you have an ok day too! (Yeah, it’s about 40 minutes early for California and Pacific Time)

    1. BronxWench

      BronxWench

      Thank you!

We’re doing a quiet Thanksgiving this year, because it’s too damned cold here to do anything else, but I’m making the turkey and all the trimmings because I love turkey!

  8. I was looking at your stories written section just now and I saw Claire's Misfortune in Games and thought “Hey, I remember that one, why haven’t I reviewed it?” And I clicked on the reviews and I did review it in 2010, so I remembered the story but not the review and I forgot where I was going with this.

    1. InvidiaRed

      InvidiaRed

      that was you?

Oh shit that is you. Just checked the reviews.

That was one of my first stories.

I still am glad you enjoyed it.

Seems to have! Still one showing on the apostrophe on the summary I think. That might be my browser settings tho’ And I see you’ve changed the central alignment which I think might have been what I was referring to with formatting in the original review. Maybe.

I’d forgotten I’d reviewed it too, so I don’t blame you for forgetting as well :)

  9. In June 2008 a guy emailed to ask if he could write a sequel to my gorefest Whore of Heaven, and today I got an email with chapter 1 and it’s so, so good. Really good writing. I have my fingers crossed they continue it and share it so y’all can read it too. It’s gonna be about evil getting a sound defeat so it’s already a lot different tone to the original.

Try telling that to Anne Rice!

    3. swirlingdoubt

      swirlingdoubt

Anne Rice has no room to complain. When you start earning royalties on the fanfiction then you’ve made it.

That is a high compliment to have a good writer adapt your work! Funny how it took 10 years to see it, though. Mysterious. :alien:

    4. JayDee

      JayDee

To be fair, 10 years is probably a reasonable time to take to get over being exposed to one of my less socially acceptable stories.

  10. So, Dr Who made an alien race with “Mpreg where men only give birth to boys” canon. There may be fanfic repercussions on this one.

Nah, I think Orville was first although I haven’t got around to seeing that yet, heard it was pretty good tho! Of course, Red Dwarf had canon Mpreg back in the 1980s in terms of sci fi TV and there’s even earlier.

Skin stre… Lady Cassandra? Hey, not to blow my own trumpet but I wrote Lady Cassandra porn on this very site. Oh. Guess I did blow it :D

    3. swirlingdoubt

      swirlingdoubt

      Of course you did.

And yes, you need to see The Orville. A lady gets it on with Slimer. I mean, pretty much.

      JayDee

I don’t have any streaming services, so tend to wait for cheap second hand DVDs for anything that hasn’t been on normal TV in my country. I will definitely try and see it tho’

  11. Y’ever worry that after you leave a review someone’s gonna check out what you’ve written yourself and then decide humanity is beyond redemption and set out to destory us all?

    1. Desiderius Price

      Desiderius Price

Given the rarity of reviews, I think it’s much more likely they’re rejoicing that they got a review.

    2. JayDee

      JayDee

Ahh, well, I suppose on AFF that is more likely the case.

    3. swirlingdoubt

      swirlingdoubt

I think that is your problem. :P

  12. I’m begining to think I could do a flashfic for every AFF subdomain. Final Fantasy? Easy! Bleach? Do-able! YuGiOh? Guy gets a card cut on his dick. Easy. Celeb? Eh… no sex nonfic drabble description of the time I met someone famous for an autograph… Non English? Son pénis? C’est magnifique! Manga? I’ve read some! Inuyasha? That’s the leg humping demon right? YuYuwhatthefuck? ...Maybe do a request from the forum… It’s so crazy it just might fail horribly.

To be fair, The sooner AI is introduced to smut. The far likelier said AI goes from kill all organics to. Too hopelessly addicted to smut to be a serious threat.

So in a roundabout way you are saving the world from a Terminator future. To a future where robots just want to bang everyone in sight forever.

    3. JayDee

      JayDee

Robots can bang each other and save time!

    4. JayDee

      JayDee

Of course, robots could probably also actually finish my current bloody re-write. And make a start on that demon-lust infused Call the Midwife story I keep having ideas for (working title ‘Ball the Midwife). blargle. Turg.

  13. Considering it made it into the title, the Wardrobe had a much smaller role than the Lion and the The Witch.

  14. Just found myself reading a graphic handjob scene with a 15 year old with zero warning or tags. This is what I get for getting a book from the literary section of the library rather than reading AFF.

@CloverReef  Tuna salad’s certainly among the palatable lunch choices for me, though given a choice, I’d prefer PB&J. :)    More seriously, good M/F scenes in a M/M story can be used to make a point.  I do that in Dale’s Game to show the social conventions, of how “normal people” ought to be, that the characters resort to using M/F to appear “normal” to the outside world to show the social pressure that’s there (and the effects of the gay discrimination in play)..

Also, I think AFF’s taken that first step in AFF-world-domination, it’s a way better “social media” than other platforms.   Especially as I rarely self-censor like I do in those other places.

    3. CloverReef

      CloverReef

@Desiderius Price I agree. M/F scenes can absolutely be useful and effective tools in M/M stories.

    4. Desiderius Price

      Desiderius Price

I even manage to dabble in a bit of F/F, small drop, in a heavy bucket of M/M action.

  15. Story codes now amended on all my 100+ uploads so I no longer incorrectly appear to be the archive’s most prolific author of MC fiction. Also had to delete a lot of the old “language” tag from summaries and also a code “D/A” I have no idea what it was for, isn’t on the list now!

      JayDee

I think D/A must have been a trigger tag of some sort, which has since been renamed, as looking through google it’s on a lot of rougher stories. Can’t recall what it meant though. Other amusing things was the way the code moved “Tent” out of “Tenth” to leave my summary on a LOTR fic referring to a “h walker” – there’s a few others still with that in the domain and no tentacle content! – and also how it moved “Rape” out of “Raped” on just one story leaving it describing a character as “d and violated” which kinda still makes sense with modern internet slang around “Giving the D”. Overall though, still by far the better/only option than trying to do the stories manually.

Scripts can be… interesting in their side-effects.

    4. JayDee

      JayDee

      JayDee: Still better than scriptfics!

Scriptfic author: Ayyyy! Why you gotta bust my balls?

JayDee: There was a CBT request.

JayDee stops typing way before the 10 lines of story on forum limit just to be on the safe side.

  16. Have just noticed that when the program was run (or however it worked!) to move tags from the old place in summary box to the new place in their own box, it moved all my “MCD” tags as “MC” and left the D behind. This isn’t the first time I’ve unexpectedly had the D in the wrong place. I’ll get ‘em updated in a few days as very busy today, and apologies to any searching MC fans who hate character death.

Didn’t realize you did that.  Though I supposed a spurious [nosex] tag mixed into the lot would raise some suspicion.   More practically, a wall of tags can be intimidating to potential readers, so there’s no real incentive to overtag (this was part of the impetus for me to adopt my current approach, helping the reader figure out which tags are the very important ones to pay attention to, ie, my stories tend to feature a lot of [exhib] and minor1/2).

      * My autocorrect wanted to make that “1/2” into ½.  I don’t know if I want to know the meaning to [minor½]

    3. GeorgeGlass

      GeorgeGlass

If Minor½ were a tag, I’d probably have used it by now. (I’m sure at least some readers would agree that in utero sex deserves its own trigger tag.)

Could be twins in the womb… I mean, do we really know what twins are up to in there?   Especially the evil one?
