Hey there Given how long ago this post was put up this may be akin to closing the stable door after the horse has dropped dead but #shrug# meh. What are ya ganna do? Anyway I have a story I'm in the mists of writing and I'm starting to struggle. Not so much with the over all story arc, that's all sorted in my head. It's the little details, just weaved into the narrative I'm starting to have a problem with. My character keeps to herself a lot of the time and it's difficult trying to come up with new ways to show the progression on time. I think I just kinda need someone to sit down and talk to me about it. Throw some ideas at the wall and see what sticks. Conqueror fic. Alright this plot bunny has been running around in my head for a few years but I know I wouldn't be able to write the character's particular thought or speech patten and I don't want to attempt something that will draw away from the essence of these characters. So here’s the gist: Xena switches places with the Lord Conqueror she would have become had she not meet Gabrielle. Here is the plot outline: We begin our story at the beginning of Season Three. Gabrielle has just pledged to a fiery death, dragging Hope down with her. Xena is distraught, now instead of wondering off and playing with the Shamen Amazons she makes a wish. You can word this in any way you wish but she just wants to be around Gabrielle. Some sort of Deity or Muse or Nyph or... anything you want. Comes along and grants this wish. Switching her essence with that of the Lord Conqueror of another world. - now you can change the world and history however you want. Did Xena take on Rome or is she still fighting against Caesar? (Because really does she ever stop?) Is she still in line with Aries? You decide. Gabrielle having not been saved by the warrior princess was taken into slavery and subsequently bought by the Loud Conqueror. When Xena turns up in this world Gabrielle is already meek and broken. I would prefer her Xena to struggle in this particular position of power. All that paper work is going to make for a cranky warrior. But she could have passed on all the tedious stuff to others. Where ever you go from there is completely up to you – just keep in mind how much Xena changed in these three years. She's not going to be running around and killing peasants and raping innocents for next to no reason from the get go if you want to take it that way. Does she try to coax Gabrielle out of her shell? Does she free here? Find her sister who must also be enslaved somewhere? Does she ever go back to her own world to find Her Gabrielle alive? If there must be a paring Xena and Gabrielle is the obvious choice – with all that subtext how can it not be? So yeah there's my plot bunny and I present to to anyone who's interested in it.

Now that sounds like a match made in heaven. Would you like me to send you the files for these stories as they are not what you would call...short. I've just hit 100k words on the harry potter fic just over twenty in dragon age so I don’t know what would be easyest for you.

The violence and Torture I’m happy to go through but I am a little squeamish about slash. Hi there. A 14,000 word one shot? That's... insane. I'm interested. Alright I’m going to start out by levelling with you. I'm primarily a Femslash reader. Reading anything m/m that’s too graphic makes me a little but squeamish. I don't like penises in general but I will read over the plot line. With that many words there has to be some. I'm British and Americanisms in a Harry Potter fic drive me mental. So I’m all to happy to deal with the male on male thing if I can take just one more of those off the web. I've not really had much or any experience as a beta but it is something I’d like to get into and i'm trying to pull myself out of my comfort zone so I’m hoping this will help. Give a brief description of what you're looking for from your prospective beta. Okay, so I admit that I may be being a little bit demanding in this respect. First and foremost I have a really nasty habit with the misplacement of words. What I mean by that is I use spell check and quite often in the English language two words are spelt really similar. Just an example I came across yesterday viscus and vicious – they mean two completely different things. So I need someone who can spot these things. 'cause I only tend see them three months down the line when they have already been posted. I also need a critique. Literally rip my work to pieces. Reviews help but they don’t tend to go anywhere past 'this is great.' or 'please update.' which aren’t exactly helpful when it comes to plot holes and mistakes. Speed: this is a biggy. I really like updating on a semi regular basis. Every two weeks at the most sometimes once a day if I’ve got time and inclination to write. So I need someone who is going to be able to get back to me quickly, I'm not unreasonable. Within three days and I should be happy. Say what fandom this is for, or if it's an original story. At the moment I have two active stories that need a comb through, one is dragon age (Both origins and 2... it's complicated.) The other is Harry Potter Hermione/OC which is the one I’m a little more invested in at the moment. If you want to see what I’m about give them a read over and I’m sure you'll see what I mean. I like wolves, complications and violence what can I say? Only one very, very mild sex scene so far and if you feel uncomfortable reading it then I will be happy to shield your eyes from it. The Dragon Age: The First's sister. Is kinda a crossover between origins and 2. The hero of Ferelden turns up in Kirkwall very conveniently turning out to be Merrill's sister. And Merrill is sleeping with Hawke. See complications and violence. Don't say I’m not consistent. I do have a habit of seeing potential fics in everything I read and watch so it's only a matter of time before I start some other project and they usually turn out to be longer than I intended. I do tent to like working with people I already know but you can always say no is you don’t like the fandom. I would like to see some previous works that you have been through but if you either haven't done any or don't feel comfortable showing me another author’s work that’s fine.
