This new coding sucks. I new the old coding and I think the majority of regular posters on here did. As the saying goes 'If it ain't broke don't fix it' Minor grumble!

A few weeks ago via a review I was asked to change my story disclaimer to say 'I do not make money from the writing of this fic' and eventually when I had the time I did. Now that was two weeks ago and I am ready to ad a new chapter to this story but it has disappeared! In my profile it says I have three stories on file but only two appear. Who can I contact to have my fic re-instated? I've changed my disclaimer and now I want my fic back up so I can add to it! I've had people personally emailing me asking where it is. HELP! BTW the fic is called 'It Started With a Kiss' a Neville/Hannah fic in either the Het M/F or the General section (I can't remember which!) of the Harry Potter archive.

Well sooooooooooooooooooooooooorry! I do apologise! As I said in my post it was just a bit of a shock to see the section change so suddenly. Maybe if a mass email wasn't possible a pre-warning in the little 'Latest Happenings' section on the Harry Potter page would've been better. A warning may have been there but I surf AFF several times a day and I'm 99.9% sure I didn't see anything. I apologise humbly to the relevant people if I am mistaken

I know my reply will be slightly off the original thread topis but I think what has happened to the Harry Potter section is absoloute bullshit. I understand all you techies and site managers have to operate the site more efficiently but the way you did it was crap. There was no warning whatsoever and now I can't find any of my favourite fics even if I enter the EXACT title in the search facility (If anyone can help me find Contrast and Helping, Hurting, Healing with a direct link I would be really appreciative....please email me!). I realise there are hundreds and thosands of people who are registered on this site with a panname/forum handle but would it have killed you to send out one mass email? I'm no computer expert but surely there was some way to forewarn us?' It would've even been better to have the top half dozen sections (Ron/Hermione, Harry/Ginny Snape/Draco/Hermione etc ) there then eerything else coralled into a collective category. I might be sounding selfish but it's the shock of the suddenes that's gotten me! Sorry for semi-hijacking the thread!

I have spent the past hour trying to add a new chapter to my fic but when I go back to read over it again only half of it appears! This happens to me 99.9% of the time I go to add a new chapter and it's really starting to annoy the shit out of me! How do I overcome this problem? I know it's not my computer because it's happened on other computers and I know it's happened to other authors. I tried this trick I've used before to overcome it but it doesn't work any more! I've tried deleting and adding the chapter three times and I've even tried logging out then logging in again....site administrators please fix this problem before I go mad!

Now Im not one to look down on anyone for their preference of fic but come on people where are all the Canon pairng and character writers out there? One would think that everyone in the HP realm is gay and are bonking their current/ex professors! I'm not againast the slash storyline but TBH I prefer reading het fics. Now I'm exclusively a canon character person(Ron/Hermione, Harry/Ginny, Draco/Pansy, Fred/Angelina, Katie/George, Oliver Wood/Alicia Spinnet(I know the Oliver/Alicia,Fred/Angelina, Katie/George pairings haven' been confirmed, unless you count in book 4 where Fred asked Angelina to the Yule Ball)but that's my fan fic mind running wild ). But there seem to be hardly any Canon pairing stories around lately! I'm plugging away at my own Harry/Ginny story but I would love it if occasionally some new stories popped up. They don't necessarily have to be Harry and Ginny but a good het canon character story would be good! So canon character/pairing writers let your pesence be known! You can't just exist in my head!

Because I'm sure there are other newbies out there that would like to know this information. I think my fics lack a little oomph because I have to post everything in regular text...Thanks and MWAH to you to!

I was wondering how do add bold and italic text to my story? I can't find anywhere on AFF that tells me in plain simple terms how to do this. I'd like to know this information so my fics have more of an impact, such as in coversation. If anyone could help that would be great! If this thread is in the wrong board mods please feel free to move it to the appropriate area...thanks!

**Raises hand** about the DH epilogue too. I wasn't just disappointed about it I think it totally and utterly sucked. The book as a whole was okay but the epilogue left me with a 'Oh is that all?' feeling. So Ron and Hermione and Harry and Ginny got married. Well big deeeeeeeeeeer! As if we didn't know that was going to happen...**Rolls eyes** In regard to Dumbledore being gay...big deal. Who cares who in Harry Potter porks who? I never pictured Dumbledore as a sexual creature straight or gay...he seemed a bit asexual to me...no defined leanings at all. It is a bit if a funny story though.
