Alright. I have been looking for this one particular fic for a while now and it's driving me crazy! The plot is basically where Harry and Draco find this mirror thing that transports them to another world completely devoid of people, but it's exactly like the world they live in. As they go along, they fall in love and hold the binding ceremony to become a couple I guess. The mirror is called the Light of something or another. Can anyone help me please????

okay the Obsession one was about a guy who want into a piercing shop to get his piercing in his ear fixed and he ended up getting caught between to male vampires, the owner of the shop owed the other vampire money and he kidnapped the human guy and ended up making him his slave
Yep, the one with Akos, Azazel and Eir. I remember that fic and it had a sequel called Redemption. The author deleted the stories, their own website and purged their LJ. You could try to contact them and ask if the fics will ever be posted again.

I'm searching for a specific M/M werewolf story I read a while back. I can't remember the name or the author. It was originally published in part on here a couple of years ago, was pulled down, then was finished and reposted sometime in the last year or two.
The story was based around a submissive young wolf whose clan brother falls in love with him. The clan brother propositions the alpha to take him as a mate and I believe is denied. The young wolf got kidnapped by someone in the human section of town and taken away, I think to become a prostitute. The story itself is about the wolf clan's attempts to get the young one back from the rival who bought the youth.
If someone could help me with this I'd greatly appreciate it!

Wondering if anyone remembers the fiction website that had its banner posted here on AFF about a year ago. I visited it once and the story themes (gay) were based on a fictional Carribean island.
One of the stories was about a guy who was hired to be part of the live action pirate show. Once he gets to the island, meets all the great people and the perks does he find out that this show is explicit and very much gay. This of course being a serious problem since he's straight. I didn't read much further than that because it is a pay site and I had a huge backlog of awesome AFF stories I was following... fine, perhaps I was being cheap too!
Any ideas? I haven't seen the banner in ages so not sure if this website still exist.

Hello all you wonderful people!
So, here's the deal, I'm looking for two different stories-- one is "I who am called Little One", which seems to be unfindable by my current means? I've searched all over the place, but cannot find it. It's about a slave girl, who is captured by these terrible men, meant to travel through awful places, but in the end, her master beheads the men and she is swept up in his arms. Does anyone remember this? There's no sex in it, but it's just an amazing read and I would love to get my hands on it again.
The second one is one I'm not sure of the title for-- but it's about a slave boy (who formerly lived in a monastary? I think that was it...?) who is captured by slave drivers? Or slave, uh, capturing type people... XD I'm terrible at this. Anyway. He travels with them, and his master is pretty harsh on him, but goes through manic cuddly affectionate moods with him. And his master has three friends who also abuse him. The slave boy befriends another (sort of jaded veteran slave boy?) slave, who's also like the medic for their little... camp? Anyway, I hope that's enough to go on? I'm still going through and searching through the Original archives, but so far I'm not getting anything.

I haven't seen this fic for at least the past year & alas, I cannot remember the author's name. Even if it's been discontinued or taken off the site, I just want to know what happened to it because it was a really fabulous story. There was a completed Part 1 & last time I read it Part 2 was still a WIP.
The story is about a pro tennis (I think it was tennis... could have been some other sport though) that had a male tutor as a child. The tutor was very pale, had long black hair & was odd. Supernatural. The tennis player grows up & crosses paths with him again in China. They start a "relationship" that ultimately fails. He finds out that this tutor/mentor is a fairy-like creature. The term fairy is never used but that's as close as I can get to describing the type of being he is. His features are actually a "glamour" -- his real body is covered in horrible scars from a big battle that he was in centuries ago. His voice was damaged too.
I forget exactly how it all came about but there was some type of interference with another "fairy" that had previously had a serious, long relationship with the black-haired guy -- they were actually related in some way. And the black-haired guy became seriously ill and was in a hospital.
That was book one.
Book 2 was basically the back story between the black-haired guy and his former lover. All through book one, the lover comes off as a total a**hole but after reading more of book two you start to see their history & feel a bit more sympathetic towards him.
... and that's all I can come up with off the top of my head. Hoping someone can help me out??? I think the author's pen name was one word... maybe starting with a vowel??.

There doesn't seem to be a heading for it, depite original fiction being mentioned on the title / age consent page. Does such a thing actually exist here or is the original thing a misunderstanding on my part / typo?

I'm looking for an m/m fic from a few years back which i'm pretty sure is still incomplete (though i'm not 100% on that).
plot: about a human named max, though I could be wrong, and he's the last human and has been stranded on this planet where cat-like people (with the ears and tails of felines) dwell. he's captured because they can't communicate with him (and maybe for other reasons) he is imprisoned. a lord, or prince, or something of that nature finds him and instantly falls for him but the two don't get along for a while because they can't understand each other and the human isn't exactly willing. oh and the cat-alien has to mate with his human every now and then in order to keep their bond or something. a few other notes: humans are considered "rare", the aliens are a little larger than average humans and max loved languages when he was on earth and was working as an interpreter or something.
it'd be so great if you can help me- please please please!

I was reading two, connected stories set in space/the future/i can't really remember and I can't remember either of the names or the name of the author. I can remember important plot points - it (fortunately/unfortunately? depending on your preferences) contained much MUCH forced sex, the first story was about a girl who would transform into large hot man who turned out to be about the most powerful being in the universe, and the sequel was about her son who picked up a boy who had been drugged and abused in a brothel. There were aliens and mages and explosions (oh my!), and I don't know if it helps, but I think that the titles might have been all capitalized. I'm really interested in the first one - it was so cool!
It would be so awesome if anyone knows what I'm talking about .

I think the name of the story is called "Slave Auction". Alll I remember is a woman was captured and was sold in a Slave Auction. She stood on a stage naked and men were shouting how much they wanted to pay for her. The woman that was being soldd thought this big pig faced prince was going to buy her. But a hooded man made a huge bid to buy her and the other guy would pay that much and the woman was sold to the hooded man. Later after the woman and the hooded man left the auction. He reveiled that he was looking for her and he was the husband that she thought shee lost in the war. Thats all I remember. Please help!!!!!!!

Actually, from what I know when it comes to authors, 90 plus percent of them are looking towards publication of something in the future. I'm a published author that uses fan fiction as 'practice' not to just get my ego stroked. To me, it's used to hone skills and practice what I do. All authors I know want constructive crit, not just the ego stroke thing.
I dispute the 90% number. Sometimes, when people belong to a peer group and involved with that group for a long time, they start to believe that their group is bigger/more important/more whatever. The peer group of professional authors coexists with other ones, just like any other. Many of those who appear to work towards becoming a pro will never end up making a living out of it. Some will only supplement income from the day job. A large number will end up with a day job, a dream, and spending time socializing at diff author's forums.

I think everyone is missing what I'm asking far, long and wide. Like the others have mentioned, I have some really bad fiction I like as well. In fact, I'm, at this moment, working on one that i adore but actually fixing the mistakes in it myself to make it more readable. What you like isn't the issue I'm talking about. What I'm asking is this: are those that are leaving absolutely glowing reviews for fictions that need serious work doing the author any favors by just giving them that ego stroke or does there need to be some honesty here in pointing out that there re mistakes? Will they ever learn from the mistakes or grow into their potential if no one does anything but praise them?
This is because this type of authors and reviewers don't have an objective to 'grow into their potential'. Posting fandom fantasies is about making friends, and receiving 'ego stroking' and SQUEEEE!. A relatively small number of authors wish to become actual professional writers in RL. This is a normal occurrence in any fandom.
Personally, I get irritated by wonderfully written faux fanfics posted by professional hackers for 'exposure'. Always good grammar and sentence structure. Except, the fics themselves are just Harlequin type novels casting fandom pairings. Good thing they get removed by the authors after becoming disenchanted with guerilla self-promotion.

Ah, yeah.. that was my problem. Didn't quite realize I had to click on 'Originals' before using the Search For A Title feature.
As for the fic, I've only known about it for about a year or so, but I keep hoping it'll get updated eventually. Can't imagine a story like that not getting to end.
There is always hope. I am working on mine, which was on a hiatus for almost three years. Was a bit disenchanted with Harry Potter after the final book. I bet, no one even remembers my fic, hehe!
So, there is still a chance that JenJen could continue hers.

I know that we ALL have seen this one... you open a fiction because you see it had a score of 5 out of 5 and glowing reviews only to find that it is so poorly written and has such bad grammar that it's all but unreadable. Then you begin to wonder just how it got those reviews and the rating it has.
My question is this... are people who do such a thing doing an author a bad turn by only giving praise and not pointing out serious issues? Does it help them in any way other than to feed their ego? Should people really make those reviews and ratings count by giving the story just what it deserves rather than artificially elevating it? What do you think?
To be objective, we have people from 18 to 80s posting and reviewing fics. There is a huge difference in what diff groups of readers find valuable and score high or low. I've seen some poorly written high scored fics, but it didn't bother me a bit. Some of them had a strong teen following, some didn't. They did strike a chord with many readers, so there is something special in the storyline.
I like what I like and so does any other reader.

I don't blame you. The site itself is really a collection of sites with a universal login. The search for a title would only work in the sub-domain where that title is posted, and many people don't know this. The search for content also works inside sub-domains only. The search for the author works everywhere across the border.
That fic is my fave too, btw. I've been waiting for an update for two years, hehe.

Seriously, you know the name of the story and that it is an original work. All you have to do is to jump into the original section and search by title. It works.

I am looking for a story that starts out with this boy and he is on a space ship (I think...could be wrong) with his family. His father owns the ship and is a slave trader. They (the boy, his two brothers, and the father) travel around and capture different creatures to sell. The boys brother pulls a prank on him and throws him in with a new humaniod creature that claims the boy as it's mate.
I don't remember much about what the creature looked like but here goes anyways. Looked mostly human but with claws and wings. I think it was really tall and had a scar over one of it's eyes. They said something about it being very rare to see and catch. I think the only reason it was captured was because it was already ingured when found.
If anyone has any ideas please tell me. Thanks!
