On the topic of pet peeves, mine are phrases like "more better," "irregardless," and my husband's "congrasation." His parents are just as bad and it drives me up a wall just to listen to them speak for 10 minutes. I am constantly correcting things like "well/good." I try to help the english grammer survive, but sadly I think it is a lost cause.

As far as I understand it, he is no longer a police officer. Not that that is much of a consolation. As to the question of onboard cameras: some jurisdictions have them and some don't in the states. It is all a matter of funding and policy. Just remember, for those outside the US, there are over 10,000 police forces in the US. Each have their own policies and procedures. - Oh and a fun fact, most of those forces have between 1 and 10 officers.

I recently came across a set of drabbles. At the end of the fic, there is a note saying essentially if anyone wants to turn this into a full fic, feel free. Is this permission enough to avoid plagerism or does this site need personal permission than that? I contacted the author and got her specific permission. If I were to run across this in the future, say where I found the drabbles elsewhere with no way of contacting the auther and wanted to post a fic here, would I need more than her word at the bottom of her post? I would obviously make the same considerations in the disclaimer for that person's work as I would to the creator of the series, etc. Anyway, I was just curious.
