I think it’s at least partly that I’ve had more exposure to them, besides enjoying Social Distancing and the Halloween 2019 After Party oneshots, and the little extracts you sent like Yua [edit – wait, fuck spoiler, sorry!] I got to have my own little shot at writing Cody for the end of Parlor Games which would get anybody even fonder of a character

Yeah, I’m sorry about that. I fell back into some bad habits. In the increasingly unlikely future where the rest of MO gets written, I’d definitely try and do more to pull my own weight.
As for my multiverse madness, don’t worry about it. Even in my own mind it’s a long way from ever getting written, assuming I ever do. Mainly because I can’t figure out how to frame any of it in a way that would work as a story.
As someone who’s been struggling to find gainful employment myself for these past six months (and then some), I very much hope this works out for you. I’ll be lucky if I can get minimum wage, nevermind enough to buy my own place. 
...It is? The only thing you told me about that could be this, didn’t have anything to do with D&D. This is as much a mystery to me as everyone else.
I had assumed that was what you were working on all this time, and that you were working on it on Drake’s discord, since you knew that’d be the one place I’d never go. Least I wasn’t entirely off the mark.
Unlikely. Aside from how much more coherent what of it you’ve described to me is, mine is much more obviously a rip of DS’s original, whereas yours could easily stand on its own.
Besides, MO has a readership of around five people. That’s not much of a shadow to get out of.

Oh, don’t worry.  What I was doing there was more mentioning some of the things I want to do at some point and placing them in a rough order of “how likely am I to work on these soon?”  MLY is definitely going to be done the soonest, likely followed by the NSC story.  When I say something is “in planning”, I mean either that I’m batting ideas around (e.g. The Arena) or that it’s sitting on the back burner of my brain like WitS did (e.g. Containment Breach).  If I wrote “in progress”, that just means that I’ve written at least some of it, and periodically write some more.  It’s a matter of coming back to it when I get inspiration.
JayDee you sly dog...  Ok, while it’s going to be below MLY and NSC, whenever I have free time that doesn’t involve MO, I will prioritize The Spider House.  Not going to lie, I’m kind of surprised that one’s as popular as it is, at least with you.  I like Cody and Yua, but I didn’t know they’d gone over that well outside my head.  Just...uh...don’t get too hyped in case it turns out to be a letdown.

In my defense, I was born and raised in Missouri maybe an hour from the M’Arkansas border, and I still live in the same region. Missouri is Southern enough for the awkward stuff like accent but too far north for the sweet tea to taste good. 
It really was just the sweetest thing, really. I grew up in a family where fannish behavior was supposed to be kept secret and treated as an embarrassment. When Cold started bringing his Playstation and anime over for dates I knew I hit gold. Honey, if you can, try to find you a man (or woman, or both, or neither, or ancient eldritch entity, etc) who respects your inner nerd and lets theirs out around you. I hope you can find someone who appreciates you for who you are, too. It’s worth everything in the world when you can be dorks together. 
By the way? We’ve been together 11 years this April, he regularly lets me pull the “rubber ducky” maneuver on him when I’m stumped on a scene, and I’ve taken up gaming with him on occasion. He’s my favorite dork and I’m his favorite nerd, and it’s just what we both needed.

Great to hear things are going better with the covid and the story writing! I guess the only downside is it sounds like it’ll be longer before we see The Spider House :p
