They film quite a bit for that show in my neighborhood. All of the Law and Order shows, actually. But I did get to meet Jerry Orbach once, and he was lovely.

Funny you should mention Law & Order @CloverReef because that just happens to be my favorite one!  The original, not the Special Victims Unit.

I’m totally enjoying watching doctors watch medical dramas on youtube. I should look for criminal justice people watching law and order and stuff.

I think more authors are becoming open to fan fiction. However, there is still a huge stigma dating back to the Marion Zimmer Bradley legal issue (which remains unclear to this day, IMO). Many authors won’t read any fan fiction of their work because they are afraid if anything they write resembles that fan fiction, they will be sued. It’s tainted the relationship between fan fiction writers and authors for some time.

Oh for Pete’s Sake!!  Unfortunately the authors I’m aware of are not as famous as the ones already mentioned in a few of the previous comments; regardless, as I read through articles written by these published authors, so many of them comment on how they got their start by writing fanfiction.
 

Exactly, and we also inspire. Some authors, like Lois McMaster Bujold, put fan fiction on the websites. They understand that people can fall so deeply in love with their worlds that they need to fill in the blanks, cover things the author might not have addressed, or merely hinted at. Neil Gaiman writes fan fiction. Orson Scott Card has written fan fiction for an Issac Asimov fan fiction anthology. Andy Weir wrote a fan fiction that the original author, Ernest Cline, liked enough to publish.
So for those of us who write fan fiction, celebrate! We are creative people with lively imaginations who ask “What if...”

I actually read something about Gaiman openly admitting that even his head canon isn't really canon and that fans are open to interpreting however they want.  I'mpretty sure he was in favour of fan fiction.  Lol.

I tried catching all four digits at 5 and 6, but my luck had me catching the counter right before and right after.  This time, I managed to catch it right on the nose    Certainly, don’t slow down reading/viewing just to accommodate this, I definitely like seeing the dragon prints going upward.

That's the main thing I dislike about publishing a story as it is being written.  My mind can decide to take the storyline in an entirely different direction than what the previous chapters were leading up to.

I have two going right now and it's difficult to bounce back and forth between the two because I have to get myself into a completely different mindset.
I know I put the added pressure on myself by trying to publish a chapter in each at least every 7-10 days.

I had a draft of episode ten done before I started five, so with some tweaking for what happened in 5-9, it’s now just waiting for nine to post     Onto #11.

I love it when it’s a human med.  My vet, actually with this one, at one point recommended that, go to the local store, get it OTC, and cut the pill in half.  But really, the only difference is probably quality and more stringent testing for the human stuff.

@Avaloyuru  Don’t forget to hug your dogs. 
In this case, the vet did mention that his teeth needed to be cleaned, so I knew that needed attention.  I even managed to get that scheduled for this Tuesday...but then I obviously had to cancel.

It’s easy for us to blame ourselves when things go wrong with our pets.  I have two dogs and it’s not always like they can actually tell us what (if anything) is wrong.  Sometimes I think I understand mine, but I’m not always so sure.  (Hugs)

I agree with KassX, sometimes it takes a while to build a following. But if you keep plugging away at it, people will take notice.

Thanks!!  I was beginning think nobody was reading my stories, but it’s cool!  I’m on two other sites as well.  People seem to be reading them, just not commenting.
