  1. Probably will do that later (managed to lose the password to my email, again), I just figured I’d mention it. Unfortunately the biggest problem with getting a hold of people is you need to create two separate accounts for the archives and the forums to have private messaging which kind of sucks. I almost asked if there was a way to link private messaging in the forums to users accounts in the archives but then I realized not only would that probably the impractical, but then I remembered about the limited number of PMs available to accounts which killed that though. Pity though, ah well.
  2. Yo, been awhile DG! Not sure if this one actually falls under archive restructure or where it would go if not, but is there any chance to get a private message system for authors? Mostly to keep reviews from getting turned into message boards if somebody has questions that the author wants to answer. I bring this up because I wanted to talk with another author about playing with a loosely edited idea of one of his first chapters to take it in another direction but I have no way of getting a hold of him (or her, not really sure which) and I figured I’m probably not the only one who’s run into this little wall.
  3. Alas, no like button. Very true, but knowing when to post what tags is better IMHO. Too many tags (especially if they don't all fit) can get confusing for the reader. Besides, if it comes up that you need a tag that you didn't before, you can always just add the new ones as they apply unless you know for sure they're going to apply at the start of the story.
  4. Yeah, I came across it online. It actually is for "does it count as Bestiality?" The three questions are: Does it have human intelligence (or "greater")? Can it talk or otherwise communicate with language*? (*Body language is a dangerous road, err on the side of caution- according to the illustration I have) Is if of sexual maturity for its species? If the answer to all three of is yes, then it's considered safe to have sex with- IE it's a sapient creature of consensual age. If the answer is no to one or more than it's bestiality- or possibly paedophilia. The test is named after Pansexual Doctor Who/Torchwood character from the 51st century Jack Harkness.
  5. I'm not actually interested in the whole "loli" thing, it's not my niche and does nothing for me. That said I felt it was best to get some clarification on how that should be tagged, IE whether it needed Minor1/Minor2 or not and how that was decided. I started this thread for that reason, the answer has been given and now if someone else is curious they can look it up and find the answer. Tag by age, if they age faster use the Harkness test (specifically is it of sexual maturity for it's species? As in the case of Kes from voyager) to decide if it needs a minor tag. Either way, a warning is a good idea. Plain, simple, question answered. Have fun writing, ya deviants! Oh, wait, I'm a deviant too.
  6. Try posting in the Promote a Story section, it's a good way to catch the curiosity of new readers who might otherwise overlook it. Also don't let lack of reviews discourage you, only a fraction of people who read actually review, it's always been that way but that doesn't mean your story is any less enjoyable to those who read it. The best thing to keep in mind is the reason why you write, if you write for reviews not getting many will seemed a lot more discouraging than if you just write for your own fun. Good reviews are like a bonus, to me the enjoyment of writing itself is the real prize. I've seen decent authors who post daily, get lots of reviews and get so wound up over a critical comment they'll post entire rants about people being ungrateful. I've seen new authors post their works and gush when they get only a handful of reviews because somebody else enjoys what they do. It's all about perspective. Don't let the number of reviews bother you, write what you like because you like to write it. It's a lot more enjoyable that way, in my opinion.
  7. N-n-n-now let's not do a-a-anything hasty! M-my muse has been missing for a while you see, i-it's hard to get anything done without her.
  8. Oh damn! Bob! Bob! Open up Bob she's trying to exploit me!
  9. Sorry BronxWench, but I'm fairly certain Bob would spit me out as soon as he got a taste of my mind. Heaven knows I've wanted to reject my own brain often enough. Sadly it follows me around wherever I go, it's worse than my shadow.
  10. LockedBox, I like you. Nice use of logic to tear apart that A/B/O theory like wet tissue paper. Sadly that is unlikely to be used because then people couldn't pass Omegas around like party favors, but that doesn't make me appreciate your argument any less.
  11. Desiderius, believe me when I say I don't need 'xeno' or 'tent' tags to cause squick when I put my mind to it. My mind is a twisted deviant place not fit for the faint of heart or acceptable for children. Daf. I can live with that.
  12. Do you think people are trembling in fear yet? I rarely let my sadistic side out to play, so it's a bit pent up.
  13. In my defense CL, I blame it on my muse. She's been missing for years, but I'm certain that twisted little brat is running a plot bunny farm just to torment me. Nearly 700 stories I've started, not counting copies, none of them remotely finished and I'm constant being pelted with more useless inspiration. I just can't win. Don't underestimate my plot bunnies, they might look cute and innocent but I'm pretty sure they're directly descended from the Black Beast of Caerbannog. Best just to open up a seperate document and let them tire themselves out. Also this thread just kind of exploded after my accidental necromancy and has kept me somewhat morbidly amused since then. @dafdes, as far as a team effort goes. Sure, I've never actually done a colab before (mostly because I get a bit embarrassed about my own writing, I'm not bad at it, just often left wondering what I was thinking) so that could be fun.
  14. Fair enough, fair enough. I'd offer suggestions on driving him to insanity, but I've no idea what you've gotten written. On the other hand reading and posting in this thread has given my sick and twisted brain ideas I'd never wanted along a more consensual path. Honestly circumstances are a large part of how the mPregnancy would affect the mother-father (fother?), on the one hand if the situation is nonconsensual it could be a tool to break them, on the other it the outcome was desired it could lead to a stronger and deeper relationship with the other parent. It's all circumstances and authors preferences. We're all deviants here, who are we to judge? Also dancing chicken again because it amuses me
  15. Dafdes, you're forgetting about the shifts in hormonal balances, morning sickness, swelling of breasts... actually, check the wiki on pregnancy there's quite the laundry list of symptoms for the character in question to suffer through that would put any man through the psychological ringer (not to mention the physical one) wondering why and how this is happening to them. Beyond that take into account what pregnancy would do to a man that it wouldn't do to a woman. And then there's the possibility of multiple pregnancy... In short it could be quite a grueling experience physically and mentally just with the natural progression of pregnancy, add in outside stimuli combined with the sheer unnaturalness of the man getting pregnant and this could be an experience that could psychologically break a man. And of course his ass would never be the same again, but that pretty much goes without saying.
