Drarry-Obsessed

Hello! My name is Samantha but I'm universally known to the fandom (on various media sharing platforms) as Drarry-Obsessed, or DO. (DeeOoh) I'd like to first just say thank you for taking the time to read my thread! Even if you don't require my services, please feel free to pass this along to anyone else who might! My qualifications: I have 4 years of English Literature courses under my belt as a major, and my accompanying minor is in Art Histories. I have written numerous tongue-in-cheek fics as well as serious ones scattered throughout different platforms. I have an innate talent for word choice and spotting errors in others' work, but not so much my own. Ironic, that. I have a vast knowledge of the Potterverse and the intricacies therein, including but not limited to minor and major details, wand theory, spell construction and personality quirks for many of the major characters. Now... Onto my Do's and Won't Do's! Do's: Grammatical and sentence structure correction. Too many well thought out stories are skipped on by for lack of proper flow. It's a sad, sad truth. Continuity fidelity. I can and often do pay very close attention to details. And if I spot something out of line to established canon in either the Series or AU, I'll make the necessary corrections (and of course log them in a report to accompany the edited version) Sounding board. I'm more than willing to play host with my ear, as it were, to hear out your theories and help smooth any ruffles in your storyline and/or canon. Functionality. I know the ins and outs (haha) of gay physical relations. Excepting of extenuating circumstances, no, a rather large prick cannot just force its way into a virginal entry without extreme pain, tearing, and blood. If that's the aim, go for it. I'm not squicked by NonCon. But if it's not realistic according to the details, I'll correct it, and log the correction. "Magic did it" shouldn't be a fallback option to avoid writing out a paragraph extra devoted to prep. Just saying. Won't Do's: I will not help you plagiarize another work. I have read or attempted to read most of the fandom and Drarry ship stories on this site. If you come close to taking an idea without express consent of the original author, I will point it out to you. If you insist on taking what isn't yours, I will cease my services and notify the author. I will not write the story for you. If you want a coauthor, by all means, approach me. But if you ask for my beta services, then expect me to all-but write it for you, I'll refuse and move on to the next in line needing help. Now that that is settled, here's a bit more in detail about what fandom and ship specifically I will beta for: My handle says it all, basically. Drarry. Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. Potterverse! However, I will occasionally take a gander at the twins and/or 3somes involving Drarry as a main pairing. I'm just not that interested in het pairings at all as MAIN.
