The blizzard is hitting us now. I'm housing my brother and sis-in-law's apartment flooded so now they're with us. Sis has to work in the morning because she's a nurse. So yeah... where the hell did that Christmas weather go...?

Well Christmas is finally over now time to gear up for New Year's which here is a bigger holiday than Christmas. Got to go shopping for New Year's presents and redecorate the tree... at least it keeps me busy.

Well it's snowing and I set up the Christmas/New Year tree, it's official, the holiday season is upon us.

Someone care to remind me of why I spent 5 hours cooking today? Really all that time and they devoured it in under 20 minutes and headed back to their rooms. Next year we're having take away.

It was sort of a Thanksgiving dinner but yesterday was actually a Bosnian holiday and the kids were off school so it was a mash up of the two holidays.

Well tomorrow is our 17 year anniversary, can't believe we've been married that long! They're taking me to the cabin for a surprise. I'm not sure if I should be excited or scared...

Unfortunately our weekend was cut short due to a work emergency but my surprise was nice. They'd planted 30 lilac bushes around the property, I'm very pleased... Oh and thanks everyone.

Hmm, anyone know if the TSA is going to find it suspicious that three adults are traveling abroad for a week with only one suitcase between them and said suitcase is full of empty duffle bags?

So I'm looking through vacation photos and I just realized that when we stopped in Dubrovnik on our way home, my two teenagers spent the entire time there taking pictures of places they were sure Game of Thrones was shot so I have tons of pictures of brick walls...

Nothing makes you appreciate the level of civilization in your homeland than visiting another less developed country. The beaches were amazing but it's nice to be home again. Now if only the mountain of laundry full of sand would only do itself, I could actually do some writing.

VACATION starts tomorrow!! Tomorrow at this time I shall be basking in the sun on a sandy beach. Now if only everything I needed to get 7 people through 12 days would just pack itself, I'd be in heaven.

My two youngest just left for Skola u Prirodi, which means 4 days of peace and quiet...except for the 20 phone calls a day that I'll get from each of them updating me on everything they do. Should be able to get a little writing done tho...

OMG, I never knew beaches could be that bad. Fortunately we'll be going to Albania, only have to worry about the drug gang violence

Two maybe three days in a cabin in the mountains with only a generator for electric, no internet, no running water and ten people with penises that call you a whiner when you complain about having to pee outside...Yeah, I just can't wait.
