So I’m not going to be around much for the next month or so (not that I’ve been particularly present of late anyway) because I’m moving to GERMANY!!! So you kids play nice while I’m gone and hopefully the German internet company won’t take the whole 3 weeks it says it will to hook up my service. Auf Wiedersehen!

My parents will *still* search for boxes for something based on the room the item was in from a house that was moved out of 25 years ago! So, yeah, I know how it goes.

Some days I really miss the old Shout Box. I used to get great title help in there from the users. Now I’m stuck trying to title my own stupid books.

I usually leave the chatbox open in another tab, sometimes with the sound notification on (this depends on the how-much-I-want-to-be-interrupted factor).

I totally intended on writing a Halloween story but then Tahn put a plunny in my head and I ended up writing a Backdoor Politics short story. *shakes fist at Tahn* Maybe I’ll get to that Halloween story today. *sigh*

lol, I will, I promise… but Backdoor Politics is one of the best stories I ever read. I can’t help screaming over this. Seriously
Even if it is gone midnight here, and I am knackered, and my bed is covered in crap… *sighs* It can wait. The crap, I mean. It’s like, a page long. It’s either this, or some old nineteenth century ghost story that I’ve been keeping on my kindle. Or another few pages of an Anne Bronte novel. I’m going for this before bed. *nods* It will finish my holiday off nicely.

I base my oneshots in my universe because with as much stuff as it covers, there’s a lot of little points that are great fodder for a oneshot. (Though I do have to be careful, Dale’s Game is the result of last year’s holiday fic.)

It’s official, our first over 70 degree day as it is currently 73 degrees out! There are buds on the trees and it’s time to break out the summer clothes! Woohoo! (Nah, I’m not excited or anything like that.

I just got finished with the first edit on Loving Sarajevo. It consumed my life for the past two weeks so I was happy to finish it and send it off last night. Like, so happy I may have cried a little. I thought I’d get to write today. I was so excited only to wake up and have the editor for Backdoor Politics message me to tell me to expect the first edits on that story soon. My life is a never ending loop of editing hell.

I have put a ban on any channel that might show the orange menace’s face for the entire weekend. I’m going to pretend the world stopped on the 19th and live in my little bubble until it pops, until then I will be watching a marathon of cartoons with the kids. That is all.

So, just signed a contract for Loving Sarajevo! I’m pretty excited and really looking forward to the end of 2016 because 2017 is going to be awesome. The tentative release date for Falling for Him is April 2, mark your calendars!

My 10 yr old son just burst into tears when I broke the news to him that Trump had won. I didn’t understand how invested in this race he was until I asked him why he was so upset. Well you see, my kids are Muslims and he was afraid Trump was going to block him from going back to the place he was born to visit his Grandma and Grandpa (which of course he can’t since we are all American citizens with the passports to prove it). This election has far reaching effects and I don’t think anyone will escape at least a little of the fallout.

Finished the mega edit on FFH! Thanks to everyone who responded to my call for betas but I have enough readers for it now. Now let’s all cross our fingers that it’s good enough for someone to publish it. Back to writing the weird and wacky now...

So my 3 new works in progress are sort of strange, one has a cyborg unicorn, one has plausible MPREG with the strangest shifter species ever and the other has a resurrecting superhero... I probably won't post any of them because I don't want to be committed.

Well, Backdoor Politics just hit the 50k word mark. I guess that means I should start winding it down. I love when I get to the last third of the story, it's my favorite part!

I don't know, I did manage to write something that made dafdes cringe so there's still time. Thought I was writing the last chapter today but the characters wouldn't cooperate so now there will be 20 chaps...

Laundry is a job that is never done, unless you were to have the whole family go naked for a day. I've decided that when the kids leave I'm instituting a naked day once a week just so I'll for once in my life know what it feels like to actually be done with my laundry.

I definitely say go for the "scar them for life" scenario. It'll cut down on them bringing home laundry, or, eventually, grandkids.

Because I'd end up the only one embarrassed/scarred since they are all male and not that shy about being nude around each other, they may not like me seeing them but I think I'd enjoy it even less on both accounts.
