Overall, quite pleased, because I made a bit of an experiment with “the repair guy”, writing it faster, shorter chapters, and trying to overdo the proofreading, which turned out to be perfect for what I consider to be a backstory. I managed to write/post 80kwords in 70 days with the weekends being the productive time for it.

I’ve just finished up the repair guy story, will post at least one chapter tomorrow, maybe both.

Two chapters finished in one day, feeling good. (Even though the second of the two is on the short side, sometimes what’s said is what needs to be said, and too much would spoil it.)

Well, words are starting to flow on this holiday story. Cross my fingers, I’ll post tomorrow… (no guarantee it’ll beat the celebration of that master burglar, breaking and entering every household in a single evening, me thinks he has some accomplices).

Well, one nice thing is that I cleaned the bathroom sink before they arrived (it was in need of it)

The Grinch, such a hero, helping people learn about the true sin of gluttony and greed, and inspiring all of us to be fiscally responsible. That, and protecting children from old men bent on giving them gifts, that’s rather suspicious behavior.

So far, today’s been successful. Four chapters done on the sequel to Dale’s Game, and some progress to chapter 22 of the Repair Guy.

Sorry, got distracted by fallout today, so no chapter to post
*BUT* I’ve been teetering on the cusp of burnout, so the little distraction will help alleviate that danger. Tomorrow, depends… got a hot water situation I’ll be dealing with, so I’ll know by the end of the day. Fortunately, I’ve got this next week off, so I’ll be putting in some time.

Hot water, as in, the oil boiler’s dead, and they want over $6k to replace it… I’m thinking about it.

Nope, not good, it’s basically end of life. I think it was installed in the 70’s, so the service guy thought it was good life for it, but still, need to replace it.

Yes, I would say you’ve gotten your use of it. Hopefully, it won’t cost too awful much.

Well, most of that use was incurred by previous owners! (I’ve only had the house for seven years.)
