    Here’s a question. Does Brienne masturbate? Or is she the kind of person who would consider that… a distraction? Really going to make all the difference, I think. Hmm.. I think I’m going to go with not. Because I can’t really see her taking time off from being Brienne of Tarth to do that and think about all the things she believe she can’t have. Like love. Or even sex (if she even could think in those terms). She just wouldn’t.

    I have the dialogue for the Tyrion scene, and I am currently laughing my head off. Oh, Gods… how on earth will I decide whose pov to put this in? I feel like it would be hilarious as Clegane or Tyrion. Although I suppose with Tyrion, the reader gets to be on the inside of the joke in the scene, so in that case maybe it’s better written as Clegane. Maybe I’ll try both.

You are like a fan to the flame of my creative mind And yes, I kind of get the feeling Clegane is sick to the back teeth of having women be intimidated by him sexually (even those who pretend otherwise – he’s not an idiot). It also leads me to think he’s going to be awfully considerate of Brienne’s virginity, and I suspect there may be a short non-adult Tyrion cameo at some point in the future, where the two giants go seek out his advice, with lots of threats to ensure his silence, of course. That should be fun. I want to write Tyrion the way Clegane wants to do Brienne, lol. As for Tormund, they’re going to develop some kind of friendship/partnership, but the banter between them will develop and continue. There will be slash content, but whether it’ll be true slash content remains to be seen. As ever, I can only put the characters into adult situations and see how they respond to it. Wow, what a compliment! Thank you! To be honest, I never really envisioned myself writing for a fandom where most of the characters are knocking each other off. I tend towards those odd pairings, and well look I kind of found one. I’m not going to claim to have done oodles of research, or to be taking this entirely seriously. I’m seeing it as a useful stepping stone to getting my groove on again, so I’d appreciate having any canon mistakes pointed out to me for correction. But I really am enjoying hanging around inside Clegane’s head a bit. He’s fascinating. And I swear he has no fear, whatsoever.

    So I’m at a point. Not a sex scene, but almost. And I’m getting a recurring theme coming from Clegane. And I have no idea if this is right, because it’s a million miles away from my experience, but it feels like it would be right. I mean, I’m a little person. I’m a hobbit. And just in general, I know how annoying it is that the rest of the world is bigger than me. Never mind when you apply it to relationships and such. Now a giant like Clegane, he keeps telling me the reason he likes her so much is that she’s so tall. They’re like equals. He feels like he can’t inadvertently hurt her, so to speak (and I get the sense that’s been a thing for him in the past). Anyway, that’s what’s coming across to me, so I’m kind of going to write him that way. The way he wants himself written. If Tormund was my pov character, I’d probably be getting the same kind of yammering from him too. I mean, he all but said it in that scene he had with Clegane.

    Ok… going to put little writing updates here for my own benefit, because blathering on to myself in my empty house is a little too close to madness. Clegane is proving surprisingly honourable. Which means the scene I had in mind has not gone the way I thought. So not only do I have to overcome Brienne somehow, I also have to overcome Clegane. Happily Tormund seems ridiculously easy, and incredibly relaxed about the whole sharing thing.So that’s a mercy.

    Thank you RedKay77! This does seem to be taking off. Tbh, just glad to be writing again. Anything. But this? More than happy to write Brienne getting some love, especially from these two. First sex scene will be around chapter 3 or 4. Got several ideas for it, and it will be fresh and interesting. For one thing, I suspect Brienne is a virgin. Also, that just like while fighting, she’s not going to be a delicate little flower in bed, which should please everyone involved. Also, that naked!Brienne might turn out to have a few bruises courtesy of Clegane, which he’s going to have to make up for…. mmm...

    Thank you, Bronx! Got to say I'm enjoying hanging around inside Clegane's head. There’s a kind of detachment about him that feels nice, but I hope I can get him involved. Since this is from his point of view, I think he’s seeing more oafishness in Tormund than is actually there. He’s trying to ignore him at present (rather like a gnat at a campfire), because he knows really that Tormund is equal to himself and Brienne. Meaning, he can’t be ‘dealt with’ easily. Brienne is interesting too. This morning I’ve written most of the next little bit. I think our two men are going to have to get her a bit drunk between them to start things off. For all of her strength, she’s got some awful insecurities buried in there. And also, she’s got ‘notions’ about how things should be done that isn’t conducive to my fic. So I’ll need to make her forget those, at least for a short while.

    I think I might be waking up or something. I’ve just written some kind of beginning for a fun little Clegane/Brienne/Tormund fic. Just need to work out some plausible details. Writing Clegane’s pov atm, but might chop and change about. Hard to tell yet.

    You may have noticed I’m never online. Sorry about that. I’m really ill. Can’t even read atm. I've restarted Matt Haig’s latest about half a dozen times now. Still haven’t got past the first four pages. Goldfish have better concentration and mental agility than me right now.

    I can’t even do you any politics…

    Well, except to say to all: Fight fascism, with everything you’ve got. But then, that’s not really politics. That’s just basic humanity. I still have some of that left in me.

    So, apologies if you’re waiting on me to reply to emails/admit I’m alive/do something I’ve forgotten. I honestly don’t mean to be ignorant. I just have zero energy. I have no idea when normal service will be resumed.

    This status update is the most writing I’ve done in weeks.

    Hectic, stressful and nonsensical… but that’s just my life atm. Now onto the election.

    Everyone lost, but Labour won. Labour is not forming a government… yet. I predict another election by October, which Labour will win by a landslide. And when I say Labour, I mean socialist Labour. Bring it on!

    Kensington is Labour! The richest people in the country voted for socialism! Also Canterbury, which Labour has never held, ever, is now red. New poll today shows the surge continuing, meaning Labour would win outright an election if it was held now.

    Not sure what you guys make of it across the pond. There’s a good Irish contingent amongst you. Tories making deals with the DUP breaks the Good Friday agreement. This is awful. Remains to be seen how much damage May can cause negotiating with the EU, given that she shown herself to be utterly inept in every way. We’d be better off sending the Chuckle Brothers. “No deal is better than a bad deal”… wtf?! No deal means standard WTO tariffs for EU market access, which is 40% on agricultural goods.

      As for me, I fear Bernie will never quite muster the people. He’s also not terribly good at sums, sadly, and has no conceivable way, even with much help, of paying for what he wants to do.

      BUT Elizabeth Warren is both fiery and intelligent, and a thorn in the side of investment banks and other profitmongers, and Kristen Gillebrand fights for women, and children, and the elderly, and those people the shitgibbon wants to pretend don’t exist (largely because they don’t golf). The chances of two women taking the political reins here is remote, given the misogyny which rules our capitol, and large parts of the country, but by all the gods, were women in charge here, we could see some actual improvements. We need housekeeping, and who in their right mind leaves THAT to the men?

    Well it seems like all the stress and extended working hours do take a toll after all, and the upshot of it all is that now I'm really not very well. And I still have lots of hours to work this week.

    I may be MIA for an extended period of time.

    I'm afraid to say I haven't been writing anything either – not a sausage – so updates to my stories are on indefinite hold for now. Sorry about that.

    Now, while I can, I am going back to bed. :(

    The time period you state could be important: the end of the medieval period and the beginning of the renaissance. A strange time to conjure a demon, when the world is moving away from superstition and towards reason. This puts your Lord at odds with the world around him. Perhaps (since he is a Lord and so would hold land), the demon is summoned to keep the serfs in a state more in tune with the middle ages, and therefore avoid any risk of rebellion, effectively extending the reach of the middle ages in the lands that are under his control. That could result in an interesting juxtaposition with the rest of the world/country outside the longer it goes on.

    Ok… I have some writing that could be used for this, however I’d have certain provisos. I could only do this if it was set after their schoolyears (ie. Draco and co. are over eighteen) It would be mpreg, actually phantom pregnancy, but still. If that doesn’t count as squick, how about BDSM, humiliation, and non-consensual voyeurism? What about physical changes (ie. becoming hermaphrodite)? Anything I write on this theme is likely to be heavily psychological. I don’t write in HP. Would you be willing to talk plot and canon to bring this about? A while ago I was toying with a collaboration that didn’t work out, and I wrote a couple of “scenes” for it. I don’t like having them hanging around, doing nothing.
