      I know, I know; I’m supposed to update every other day but I’m re-editing and all. This chapter may have one thing off because I haven’t gone through the posted chapters to make the change. Star Racers are now called Intergalactic Runners, or IRs.

    Laid my grandmother to rest yesterday. It was a hard day for us but we will be strong. All-in-all, it was good to see my family but it makes me sooo homesick...

    So... ever since I've been on Metformin, I've been afraid to drink (because, you know... it says right on the bottle No Alcohol...). I knew that going to Alabama to see my husband's family, I would have to at least have a couple of drinks... because this is a family of drinkers. Last night, I had two beers and two mixed drinks. No hangover, no sick feeling... and my BG read only 114! :)

    Just found out that my grandmother just passed. I'm having a lot of mixed emotions about this, of course sadness is one. But she lived a long life; she was 89 years old. We could only wish that our loved ones were immortal. My only regret is that I should've called her more often than I did. R.I.P., Grandma...
