Hmm...my muse does not care for the character created for her. But if i write her with all the characteristics she wants, she'd be this Mary Sue i've read so much about.

I really don't think you have to worry about writing a Mary sue. If it feels right going in that direction, go with it. Trust your instincts. Some of my favorite characters in best sellers would technically be Mary sues according to the typical criteria, but were so interesting and believable that they don't feel like Mary sues.
Don't fret. Listen to your muse. You can worry about any mary sueness once it's done and the editing begins.
