  1. The characters are adventurers, hunting monsters, exploring dungeons etc. The woman is a mage, bold and daring, knows much but not everything. The man is the proper, respectful and will not cross that line type of guy, the typical fictional one that girls would want to take to see mom and dad type. He is also a crafty bugger that likes to make new and interesting ways to take out an enemy, but if a smart ass too, with taste. ( I think )
  2. So I like tormenting characters sometimes, I have a male and female character that are good close friends but that line was never crossed. They are at a party, lots of drinking, singing etc etc etc. The two of them wake up in bed together, the girl on top of him and he is still inside her, clearly they went full at it and everything under the sun. Neither one knows how the hell it end up this way, all they both remember was eating and drinking, having a good time then wake up. I need a reaction from both characters, it's like waking up with your step sibling almost in terms of how long you've/they have known each other. I know that surprise and shock would be there but I need more to go off on, my thoughts are that this would be something that eventually turns into a romance but its still just an idea at this time.
  3. Yeah, my thinking is that the tavern owner (a Dwarf) would be big on the idea of leaving little or not so little reminders that these people were here, tried something and “This” happened to them, so dont push your luck. Mostly because if the girls cant handle the problem, who are like daughters to him, he and his axe will handle it with the final word.
  4. Yeah, I like the idea of having something taken from the person (something important they left behind/dropped) indicating their status in society and how it doesn't matter where they are from, you don't fuck with the tavern girls and these items serve as a warning of that.
  5. Under normal situation, no a trader would not let go of the seal, hence him being drunk. I doubt the guild would be so willing to cause issues with a tavern when their member was assaulting or trying to assault one of the girls, bad PR. humm.
  6. guild seal could be an amulet of sorts, looks like weight scales, one with a box and the other with a coin, hanging around the neck of a troll head mount saying the guy was a troll
  7. A drunk Trader, drops his traders guild seal meaning he will be unable to trade until he gets it back or pays a large sum to replace it? ….. makes me think of a police badge and thats too small. His traders pack along with his guild banner/flag? might be more impressive? A lock box chest used by guild members to hold their stash, said chest has a magical “living” guardian. this one thinks he is a stand up comedian?
  8. Yean, maybe I need to just change who this person is, I want them to survive just for the pure idea that these guys will spread the word, giving the place a reputation of dont fuck with the taverns girls. Owner, a dwarf, is also very protective of the girls but will not step in unless he needs to, they are almost like his daughters to him, MC is like a son. Maybe I could change it to some pompous priest or something, someone not actually able to fight back, but my world has limited religions in that respects as 99.9% of the gods are either dead or banished from the world as well as the demon lords. If it was an Orc tavern, the heads of the people would be stuck on the antlers of a mount or something, heads mounted on a mount.
  9. @BronxWench Yeah I was kind of feeling that too. I was thinking something reasonable but still something that could have a story to it if you first came into the tavern. Bob: hey whats with the picaxe and torches on the wall? Bartender: Oh that, some miner once tried to force one of the local girls to go home with him, one of our own girls showed him her knife throwing skills and he never came back for them. Bob: and the sword? Bartender: Nobleman tried to convince one of our other girls that she could make a great deal of coin if she spent the night with him, almost killed the poor shit stain right here on the floor with the thing. maybe a traders pack? something that a wandering trader would use to carry all his trade good when he doesn't have a cart.
  10. So in a original story I am working on, I have a tavern girl/server in a medieval/fantasy setting (not MC) use magic to hold a drunk against the wall who was trying to force her to follow him home. I need him to drop something, there really isnt anything special about the one time character, its more about setting the scene and giving the impression that this girl/woman is NOT a helpless damsel in distress, she will murder you with magic fire. I was thinking that something like a Wine Skin, I already have a sword from a nobleman, a picaxe and megical torches from a miner and the helmet from a thug (thug is killed by tavern owner, all others survived.) any thoughts of what a random drunk could drop that could be used as a trophy/warning to others they can look at the girls all they like but you will die if you try to touch. Drunk could even be a trader if that helps to increase the number of possible items dropped.
  11. ATM I am thinking that some random character will survive the attack, make it back to town and tell the hero what happened, some hunters or whoever, will then inform him that A B and C locations are the more likely spots that would be the lair.
  12. Some goblins and trolls, also do that but also for slaves and breeding. I think the more central europe has more about monsters/creatures doing the full list. honestly not too unlike some kinds of Orcs in name a fic world.
  13. I have read up on “traditional” monsters and there are many that will kidnap people for a list of uses, mostly as food. but it also differs depending on what country, Germany and England may both have a type of fairy, but their nature can be very different, same with their appearances. Giants, trolls and even vampires can differ a lot in different countries (annoying sometimes)
  14. I actually prefer to have monsters etc be more classic/traditional in accordance to history/mythology, I find its less work but also easy for more people to understand the idea etc. So far the idea now is, Hero hears friends are missing, there is a Ratmen lair at an old fort, Hero wants his friends back. Might conquer the lair and make it his own home base kind of thing too.
  15. Thats another good one. I am thinking that I might go with the Ratmen though, then all I need is a Lair that they would use and the Hero could take over for his own uses instead. A plot is forming in my mind but it is not yet clear.
  16. How about ones in a forest/mountain setting? The Ratmen sound like they would be a good candidate for the inside of a ruined city or something, might still be able to use them. The setting I have is for the hero to find out that his friends have disappeared near X, so he goes out to find them only to find that it was ABC that took them and now he must race the clock to save his friends before it is too late.
  17. I need some ideas. I am looking for some mythical monsters that operate in a pack/hoard type of community, that will attack travelers or small towns/villages, doing the raid and or pillage deal while also kidnapping anyone they could have a use for in any number of ways. So far I have a pick of Goblins or Werewolves, any other suggestions?
  18. interesting take, I will have to keep that in mind.
  19. @Thundercloud At the moment I am just trying to work out the introduction of the characters first, make sure that they are presented properly first so that they are NOT seen as the typical “tavern wenches” that will open their legs for some extra gold and are dumb as nails. They ARE dangerous if provoked, they are intelligent and crafty, and they have a “father figure” behind the bar that will murder you in front of everyone to protect his “kids”
  20. @BronxWench You made some very good points, some I never would have noticed. @Desiderius Price The Mc is kind of the secret hero to the girls, he will take/serve orders from tables that will likely give the girls a hard time, the less they have to deal with the better their lives, even if he has to suffer a bit. The three girls notice him doing it, not why and become fond of him but he is the polite, respectful boy-scout that doesnt understand women.
  21. Ok tell me what you think of this character introduction, its from the MCs perspective/memory as he was looking at the people in the tavern he works with. (Janina, a young elf with blond hair that was always tied up into a folded ponytail bun, stood at just over six feet tall and had blue eyes that has a slight glow to them. Her green top gently hugged her athletic body, her fair sized breasts pressing against the fabric were the envy of many women, as were her strong toned legs hidden by a pair of grey pants that held on to her round shapely buttocks. Only once did anyone ever try to force her to do something she didn't want to. She had the man pinned to the wall with a spell in one hand and a blue fire ball in her other, ready to kill the poor drunk. After he had pissed his pants, she smiled at him and told him it was time to go home before he gets into any more trouble, to which he quickly paid his tab and ran home. Janina simply returned to work while the entire tavern was dead silent, not one person taking their eyes off her until she asked if anyone needed another drink in one of the sweetest voices that challenged anyone to try something like that again.)
  22. Oh I am trying to give more details into the girls, I 100% hate the helpless “damsel” in distress or characters that are only some times useful to the main characters. I WANT, them to more or less be equals just different, but I do have a self imposed restriction of no more than 10-15 pages per chapter, or I could end up with 100 pages in no time X_X
  23. @Thundercloud My thought was that the girls appearances cause people assume that they are A or B type of girl. I can not count how many times in media I have seen the blond big breast bimbo, This girl/woman is a contradiction to that, they all are supposed to be a contradiction. Maybe not the dark elf, she is scary assassin type and does end up throwing a few daggers at one guy that tries to force himself on another girl, in short these girls could murder you in any number of ways and it would probably be justified.
  24. my number 1 all time books were either Goosebumps or Battle Tech/Mech Warrior. perspective wise though, I would say maybe trying to take a Q from LOTR would be a better setting or something.
  25. I described the night first and zeroed in on the tavern, something akin to “it was a dark and stormy night” sort to speak.
