From what I’ve heard about Daschunds, they have an attitude to match the length of their legs, so that mouse probably insulted him in some way  
And I’m certain that Freyja is a minion of Mollie, so I am sure that befriending local skunks is just a part of some grand scheme towards world dominion  

He’s braver than my corgi, who wants to make friends with the local skunks…

I’m finally getting started myself, now that my mom is settled in short term rehab after 13 days in hospital. I’m going to have to work my ass off to catch up, but...NaNo!

I got 15 people this year. there was a kid dressed up as the ‘stay puft’ from ghostbusters! i froze my butt of but it was worth it

I’d meant to pick up some tongs, but instead handed stuff out with a ladle as I froze my butt off outside. (Though in fairness, the ladle was also good for smacking hands when people tried to reach into the bowl.) Though most kids on the side street stop before they get to our buildings… for various reasons.
Anyway, if 2021 continues like 2020 then next year the kids will be in camouflaged hazmat suits and combat gear when they come to your door demanding water, canned goods, and all the toilet paper they used on your house in years past.

We had almost 200 trick-or-treaters. I attribute this to (a) Halloween falling on a Saturday, (b) excellent weather, and (c) lots of my neighbors devising clever ways to hand out candy safely. (For my part, I built a cardboard candy-slide and dispensed the treats from my porch.)
 

I’m just gonna keep my head down and stay out of his latest fascination with bridge burning.

good!  I’m losing ground now. pretty typical midmonth NaNo.  RL kicking me.

That’s terrific. I’m doing a mini-WriMo of just 500 words a day, and I have trouble keeping up with THAT.

They did warn us in August that certain things wouldn’t be carried over to the redesigned site, like our buddy lists. It’s unfortunate that the information couldn’t be preserved, but there we are. Technology isn’t as reliable as we’d like.
Sadly, I’m not going to have the time to do NaNo this year, as much as I’d like. I have more than enough WIPs, my day job, and family things to keep me hopping like mad, and unless I give up sleeping altogether, NaNo will just become a source of stress rather than an exciting way to challenge myself. But I will root for everyone doing NaNo, and if you want to buddy up, I’m still MorwenNavarre on NaNo.

Lemme guess… AO3? They let you tag as freely as you want, with the end result that the tags become meaningless.

I’ve seen some stories like that on here, like every damn tag selected and it’s a drabble about Bobby-Jo getting some cheesecake with “LOL! MORE TO COME!” Like, what’s she gonna do? fuck the cheese cake?

Pooor you, that sucks! Drink a shitton of mint tea! My mother used to steam my head with mint oil when I got head colds. and the ol’ Vick’s slathered around your neck and wrapped in a big scratchy sock trick.

I already review almost every story I read. The only ones I don’t, are the abusive and/or creepy OOC ones. My profiles on sites and many chapter notes I include pay it forward requests for people to review all the stories they like. A fair percent of my days I spend more time doing reviews than writing my own. It ’s a good/bad habit.

I took yesterday totally off. Tonight I’m going to split the massive workfile into the various stories.  The original novel just required a slower process than NaNo and I hope to resume it for my class later this week. There’s three shorts and two chapters of my big story.  And some journal babbling on random topics that will be allocated somewhere. A lot of mine is good, its just RL consequences after Mom’s ulcer final end Friday morning… that was my prime writing time other years but not available this time. Next year I will title my project “Angst, Adventure, and other Tales..”

As long as she’s reading them because you asked her to. I’m assuming you weren’t just driving to work one day and she piped up with, “While you are in transit, here is some pornography I believe you would enjoy.”
