    I'm having the same problem

Is your issue on the forum? If so, it should be a dropdown format, so select the corresponding month, date, and year of your birth.

Is your issue on the archive? If so, the format used by the archive is yyyy-mm-dd, so a birthday of August 7, 1980 would be entered as 1980-08-07.

Thank you for your response. A link to the story info in question has been posted below. There are three changes that I wanted to make:

    1. Changing the title from Incubus Intimidation to Incubus Intimidation 1: Reconstructing Uraraka
    1. There is a typo in the story description where the word new was typed up as nee. I was hoping to fix that typo.
    2. I would like to remove the disclaimer on the story as it isn’t needed.

Thank you for any assistance and your time.

I’ve edited the title, fixed the typo, and updated the disclaimer. At some point, when we are able to deal with punctuation again, the missing colon can be added to the title, and the punctuation restored in the description. It’s frustrating, I know, but we’re working on it.

Would someone please change the email address on my account here?

It's lauraray800@gmail.com now I want to write here again.

    Thanks & God bless

I did email you at the current email address to confirm the change, which I need to do since you’re posting as a guest here on the forum. If you no longer have access to that old email address, please email me from the new address and verify in that email what the former address was so I can be sure I’m making the change at the direction of the actual member.

DO NOT POST ANY EMAIL ADDRESSES ON THE FORUM. We’ve had botscrapers crawling the forums, so let’s all be safe!

  4. We’re having lingering issues with members being able to edit story info, and @manta2g is aware of those issues. We are seeing issues with punctuation in titles and story summaries, and members aren’t able to add additional tags.

If you’d like to leave a link to the story, and tell me what changes you want to make, I can at least make some of the changes, although even I can’t fix the punctuation issues.

    Hi, @WillowDarkling and all.

I posted my Harry Potter story, The Yankee’s Nephew and the Philosopher’s Stone.  I now realize that I will need to change both the rating and content tags, since I unknowingly blew the “one chance” when starting the story.

If you can change them, I would ask they be changed to the following:  Change the rating from SFW to Adult+  Nothing explicitly goes past the current rating yet, that I’m aware of, but that very well may change even if the actions themselves happen off-camera.  Remove the ‘NoSex’ tag.  This tag has not been broken yet.  That could change.  Add the Minor1 and Minor2 tags.  This lack of tags hasn’t been broken yet.  However both members of one protagonist couple are both eleven to twelve, and they are the ones most likely to “go pre-marital” as well as the ones to most likely “go pre-marital” on camera.  The older “not moved out” couples could potentially go “pre-marital” as well, especially if the “most likely” couple does, but they would almost certainly be “off-camera” even if the consequences of their acts are openly mentioned in the text.  Add both the “MF” and “MM” tags.  MF would explain itself.  I haven’t “committed hard” to a on-camera MM pairing beyond merely mentioning its existence, but there’s already one adult MM relationship explicitly out there, even if it hasn’t been “explicitly shown.”  This relationship is also a “known triangle,” but only that and not a full-on 3Plus.  A “junior known triangle” if not a “junior 3Plus” is also possible, but only possible.  I honestly haven’t written the details out far enough to have decided whether the story would drive such a relationship here.

If you have any “interim” suggestions as an alternative until authors can change ratings and tags, please let me know.

Thanks in advance for your time and help.

I’m able to edit tags and ratings. Unfortunately, our known issue with punctuation in titles and summaries has eaten the apostrophes in your title, and it may be some time before we can get those back. I do apologize!

Over the weekend I finished off a long term story and it feels really good.

But it’s also weird because I’ve been working on this story for years and took a decade long break in between to write other stuff. Now I’m working on the next piece and I feel weird about just moving forward to the next story and working on new things.

    Anyone else feel this?

Absolutely! Whenever I finish a story, I start to miss the characters, and I want to go back to them, and see what else might happen. Honestly, it used to drive me crazy when I’d read a book and it would turn out to be a trilogy, or longer, but now? I’m doing it myself!

It's now lauraray800@gmail.com I'm sorry if I'm in the wrong form.

I emailed you at your former email address to verify this request. If you can reply from that address, it would be helpful.

If you no longer have access, please email me at tos_team@adult-fanfiction.org from the new email address and verify the old email address for me.

    Thanks!

But getting back on topic, it is definitely true that profanity in the correct spots can actually enhance the effectiveness of an attempt at communication, but too much shows not only articulation inadequacies but literacy inadequacies as well.

It’s definitely contextual. If I’m writing something set in a modern setting, with rough characters, there will be swearing. If it’s more of a gracious setting, the swearing might be replaced with more elegant language but conveying the same intent. Of course, if I go for ancient Rome and the legions, those lads swore like mad (which could be my favorite part of Latin, come to think of it).
