  1. Exactly! Take Sesshoumaru from Inuyasha as an example. Somehow, I picture his ears and face and chest all flush when he's really into it, and maybe sex is when he's anything BUT stoic and emotionless. I bet he'd be downright FIERCE. Then look over at noisy, rude Inuyasha...and somehow I picture him as the one who would purse his lips and squeeze his eyes shut and go off as quietly as possible. Maybe the lack of realistic orgasm descriptions comes from a lack of realistic orgasms in porn or movies. A good place to see how varied they are is beautifulagony.com, but to see the whole thing you have to pay There's some good stuff in the "about" section where there are a few demo vids.
  2. Maybe I'm weird, but when I read a lemony smutty scene, I like it when the author takes time to describe how a person acts and sounds at the moment of orgasm. Because to go through all that foreplay and an intense sex scene just to say "and then they sailed over the edge and relaxed" feels like a cop-out to me. I think peoples' orgasms are as varied as they are. Why not describe that? What if a quiet character is a loud feral beast in bed? What if a loud, boisterous person is quiet in bed? Am I strange, or do others share this little frustration too? Now, one thing I want to point out before I leave this behind is if an orgasm has already been detailed once in the story, that doesn't mean an author has to detail it EVERY time unless maybe it's one person with different people. A woman who doesn't get off with one guy might have multiple orgasms with another man, and yet another guy could give her big boomers! So use your imagination there.
  3. That is why before I post a chapter of anything, I widen the margins so the words are rearranged, PRINT it and go over it with a red pencil. I'll use two pieces of paper above and below each sentence that forces me to read one line at a time. I catch 99% of my errors like that. Still, when I do ALL THAT and run into that 1% I missed, GAAAAAAAAAAERLKJFLSKDJFLSKDJFSLKDFJSLDKFJ!!!
  4. With titles I generally use something that ties the title to the story. If I can, I like to stick to one-word titles, but there are times where I've used song titles to title a fic if the title fits the situation the fic.
  5. What gets me with 'Sues is they're always a cliche. If it's in the DBZ fandom, her name is almost ALWAYS Sakura or some other name that doesn't stick to the naming themes of the fandom. Mostly I hate Sues when there are already ample characters you could pair up if you just thought about it for awhile. Even CRACK can work if you just TRY.
  6. Writing is how I work THROUGH my emotions. Sometimes scenes are based around how I'm feeling at the moment. If I'm mad, characters might get in a fight.
  7. I like to go for crack pairings, myself. It's not about "OMG HOTTTTT!" so much as seeing if I could build a story (and some heat!) between two characters. One of my favorite crack pairings is Optimus and Mikaela from the live action Transformers movies. Something about them just clicks in my head. It's not easy for them to realize flesh and metal shouldn't matter when the love is what's the most real.
  8. I'm C and right now I write a lot in the Transformers fandom. I've pretty much monopolized the OptimusxMikaela fics in the Transformers movie section on fanfiction.net. Glad to meet you all
  9. Probably necroposting, but YES! I've had nonmembers ask me a question and then leave me NO way to contact them and it's usually a GOOD question that I can't ever answer without adding an unrelated author's note to another fic, which I absolutely don't like to do!
  10. It's not so much words. I want to feel drawn into the scene, not feeling like I'm watching from the outside. I get bored with sex scenes that just describe the physical and don't get into the character's heads.
