Hi guys, I'm writing a 80k novel I hope to get represented by an agent, then published, and I need either a Critique Partner (someone who will read and help with my novel in exchange for the same from me) or a beta reader (basically the same, but without a draft/manuscript they want help with). It's high fantasy, set in an original universe, with minimal-to-no romance or erotica, although that may change if it develops that way through character and plot stuffs. It IS ~80k words, but I'm happy to send it in chunks or chapters. It has themes and elements of; *post-apocalypse, *coming-of-age, *sub-textual issues of morality, *some comedy, *action/adventure (war, battle, death, quests, etc), *mythology and deities (goddess of rage and fertility, god of logic and balance, etc) *political plots and high court intrigue (similar to the Roman Republic, kind of) *religious fanaticism, *princes, princesses, kings, and queens (kind of) *a few other things - werewolves, sentient dragons, magic, and so forth. As I said, I'm happy to do a critiquing exchange, if you need that, but it's not essential. I won't judge if you don't really write or anything. And, I'm happy to have more than one beta/partner, if this grabs multiple people's attention. Fingers crossed. Thanks for reading so far, -Firice

I kind of am a native-speaker. It's difficult to explain. No one will beta my stories, I've posted several times on several different websites. You are welcome to, if you would like to. But not many people read my stories, generally, so it's never been much of an issue.

Hi. I've often found that I can't pick up on my own errors where usually I would have apoplectic fits over some things the first time reading them. Hello there, do you need a beta? I could be just what you're looking for. Fandoms I can Beta for: I watch Supernatural, I am a die-hard Harry Potter fan, and I could also be a pretty good beta for the Angel series, but not Buffy (never watched it). Also Lord of the Rings, depending on how in-depth it was. Mainly I would be a good beta for originals, though. I highly value good character and plot development, and I am (apparently) quite good at picking out discontinuity. I will not tolerate it in anything, as isn't what we do an imitation of some distorted reality? I am all for fantasy and suspended disbelief, but if it doesn't make sense, I feel it must be pointed out. Fandoms I would suck at could not beta: Sadly, I have never had the opportunity to read or watch much anime or manga, so I would have no clue how to go about helping with them. I also find it difficult to beta incest stories, except Wincest. A little about myself: Weeelll... I turn nineteen in February -which I realise makes me a young'un- and I have an eight-year-old cat called Tiger Lily and a fifteen-month-old daughter named Isis. I have been writing in play-by-posts and fanfictions since I was about twelve, and I started writing originals about four years ago. I also try to draw both fanart and original artworks, as well as dabbling in a bit of poetry/song writing occasionally. Examples of my epic fail creations can be found here on deviantART. As for my interests, I like reading books (huduh), drawing and painting and such, astrology, herbalism, history, dancing in ze rain, and watching my baby grow like a tree.
