  1. I’d certainly be interested in seeing the story continue in some fashion, even if that means scrapping it and starting again. I think putting the choices in the hands of one or more readers is a neat idea, and I’d be happy to participate in that. I don’t think I could be available often enough to serve as a sole player, but I agree that if someone could do that it might work better than relying on a bunch of unreliable folks like me to vote. Since you already wanted to have Xander make multiple attempts at playing The Game, do you need to scrap this story entirely to start over? Maybe Xander could get too big for his britches and attack the Drokken or even just a couple of vampires trying to keep Willow, Harmony, Fred or even Buffy safe. He dies and things start over. I suppose if you want to re-use plot elements or make big changes to the structure of The Game it might make more sense to start fresh. For the plot elements, though, it wouldn’t be out of character for Xander to re-do what worked for him the first time around, and if you think The Game is too complicated maybe after Xander dies the first time the Forces Of Good can lower the difficulty setting for him, which would result in whatever changes you’re thinking about. I imagine they’d be very sarcastic about it. Not trying to tell you how to write your story, mind you, just throwing out some ideas that popped into my head. Use ‘em or don’t, as you will. One more thing I’ll throw out, though, is related to your third point. I understand you don’t want to come up with ideas that you don’t plan to use, but at the same time I think it works better if there’s a list of options for Xander even if he’s not going to make use of all of them. I like that he only has a certain amount of points so he can’t pursue every possible angle every turn. Maybe just don’t give any details for the parts you’re not going to use? Like Angel, for example. You don’t have to come up with anything for him in turns Xander won’t access his Angel options. Just have “Angel” as a prompt, and Xander can ignore it entirely as long as he wants.
