    Naruto The Cluck

I am working with an advantage over other authors in that respect as I have never seen an episode of Naruto, read a Naruto manga, played a Naruto video game or consumed any other form of Naruto media. The entire story will use half remembered details from a discussion I had with an anime fan cousin six months ago where she tried to persuade me Naruto was worth watching, and probably unavoidably bits of info I have unintentionally absorbed from looking at occasional discussion threads on here. This is still more info than I had going into my DBZ story. I am also going to do it for one of the dribs/drabs prompts I haven’t yet attempted and so will need to lever in the relevent words AND fit it into flashfic length, because I only ever do flashfic for the dribs/drabs prompts. Why, nobody has yet asked, why JayDee would you first make such a challenge, and then write it? Well, I just really like the title. Really like it. Maybe too much. It’s nice of you to say, but my talent ran dry years ago. EDIT: – Please can any further discussion on my take on my challenge be put under this Naruto subforum thread outside the challenges forum. Obviously anybody else wanting to take on the Naruto becomes a Chicken challenge should continue here Thank you!

The worst Naruto story? You have set the bar VERY high … It might actually be the one Naruto story I read because I want to read it!

  3. Sure, sure, but there’s other symptoms – the ominous latin chanting, the sun suddenly covered by thick cloud, the nearby dogs all howling at once, the creepy ghost girl refusing to come out from the attic. As soon as I close the old fanfic file it all instantly stopped.

  4. I have completed the first draft of flashfic Naruto the Cluck from this challenge thread and will need a discussion thread to link on the story when I post it in case I ever get a review. Oh, quit laughing. So here is the discussion thread (it’s also useful to divert any further discussion away from the challenges board). I have seen that the Naruto fandom is a harsh and unforving one, hard on technical accuracy, but then so was LOTR and I never got any abuse for that one (now, the D&D Drow fans? they were understandibly annoyed, but at least they didn’t see the first draft where the Drow referred to puppers and doggos.)

  7. The original poster is actually looking for an existing story. If you want to post a challenge or request, we have a thread for that here.

Thank you, JayDee! I cleaned up the review board on that story as well. As far as the other issue, it’s been addressed by one of our moderators already. The user gets to decide which version stays, but one has to go, or they both will get hidden until the author picks one to be removed.

  11. I looked at my first fanfic recently. My eyes are still bleeding. Mind, my most recent fanfic has much the same effect. Did you know you can write for years and never improve? If not, google the legend that is Andrew Troy Keller / ATK and be amazed.

I’ve looked at the story in question. Given that the review was a self-review, which is not permitted by our Terms of Service, I’ve removed it. The comment was in keeping with the member profile, if you read the bio. Are they nice people? Not particularly, nor have they been active on AFF in over 10 years. But the bio clearly states their “mission” and because they reviewed their own story, the review was not bullying. If they had left that review on another author’s story, I would see it differently, but having left it for themselves removes it from the realm of trolling. I’ve not seen any complaint in our records from the author they addressed, and indeed, that author might never have seen the review or found it unworthy of response. As far as the content of their stories, we have long had a policy of not censoring content other than to remain within legal requirements. We don’t quality-review submissions, nor do we censor parodies like these. If such stories are not to your taste, then it is really up to you to click past and not read them, just as we’d expect this group to avoid content they so obviously dislike. Should this group decide to return, and leave similar reviews on other authors’ stories, rest assured they will be told what our position is on that sort of immature behavior. They can comply with our Terms of Service or face potential account deletion.
